good cabin or bad

We just got our cabin number and we're right by the elevator. Should we be glad or mad?

We had a cabin at the midship elevators and loved it. No problem with noise for us. In fact we rebooked for the same location. Very convient even if you do not use the elevators, the stairs are right there.

We sailed last October on the Magic and had a room near the elevators. We heard no noise at all. It was very quiet and really convenient not to have to walk down a long hall to get to the elevators or stairs. I think you will be happy with your room. Enjoy your cruise!

thanks. I've been in hotels near the elevator, and the noise is normally terrible. I was envisioning a week of no sleep.

We have been near the elevators before and there was no problem. It was nice to get off of the elevator and be right at your cabin. You still may not get any sleep...but it will be because you are having way too much fun!!

which cabin are you in? We have cabin 6060 on the Magic booked for our West Coast Cruise, and I had many of the same concerns about being so close to the elevators. But many on these boards have said that the noise was not an issue, so I'm starting to relax! I think the convenience will be great!
