I will miss your cheese soup and your wonderful moose but your steaks were mediocre and certainly not worth 2 credits at lunch. Luckly, I figured out your soup recipe and well, as for the moose maybe I can bribe someone to get me one that has reservations:wave2:

I will have to drop Le Cellier from my plans as well if it's two credits at lunch now. :(

is it 2 credits at lunch starting in Jan for 2013? I have lunch reservations for this November.

Dang! I'm really glad that I was able to finally snag a ressie and try LC in 2010. Looks like that will be my one and only time at LC. :( It was delicious but so NOT worth 2 TS credits!!

I will agree with you guys. We went for dinner last May (at 2 TS credits) and while the food was very good, it wasn't any more spectacular than the 1 credit TS meals we had.

I think Le Cellier may want to reconsider improving the experience to match other 2 TS credits, or bump their offerings back down to 1 TS credit. A lot of people have shied away from Le Cellier since it went to a Signature restaurant as it is, and those who did continue to go chose lunch more often than dinner. I'm afraid their attendance will continue to plummet unless something happens. Yes, the cheese soup is awesome, but there are so many other yummy offerings at the world that I won't miss it too much!

2 credits at this place for lunch OR dinner is a joke! What are they thinking?? :rotfl:

Thank goodness we have an ADR for lunch for our Sept/Oct trip! I don't think that it would be worth 2 TS credits, either.

If you enjoy LeCellier for lunch, I would encourage you to try it OOP. We did in April and it was suprisingly affordable because we didn't get the steaks as we normally did to get our monies worth on the DDP. We got 2 cheeseburgers and a bowl of soup for 3 adults and it was more than enough and if I remember correctly it was around $35 (that was with our TIW card so it would be a little more than that without it). I would say it was one of the better cheeseburgers we have ever had and definitely the best on property we have found. I think they also have other sandwiches similarly priced. We didn't think that was bad at all and it was more than enough food for all of us.

I guess if they go 2 credits for lunch, it will be the same as Brown Derby where the lunch and dinner menu is the same.

Yeah that is probably true. I didn't even think about that. That is a shame though for people like us who pay OOP to go and like the sandwich options. I'm actually kinda glad our APs expire in September. We are pretty much priced out of Disney at this point. I'm sure we will go again but definitely not 4x in one year like we did from 9/11-9/12

We did LC a few times shortly after it went from 2 TS to 1 and we were disappointed, especially on our last visit. The tables were packed, there were french fries on the floor, and our server forgot my DM's wine. When asked about it he said something like "Oh, I didn't realize you wanted it before your meal" :confused3 And for me the food is just okay. Add into that how hard it is to get an ADR there and we decided to drop it from our list.

Now that it's 2 TS maybe it'll be easier to get, the tables will have more room, and the floor will have less food on it. ;)

I selected LC because we loved it when we were there in 2007 and since no matter where we ate for the Candle Light Processional, it was 2 TS, we will be having lunch there and then seeing the CLP at 5:00.

Hoping it is as good as we remember it!!! 5 years is a long time

Can't wait to get back!:cool1:

I know this is a different example. we have LC for the CP show in DEC. it's only lunch but still taking up 2 of our dining credits. is it not worth it? are all shows 2 credits for the candlelight processional? wondering if we should change it up.

I bet it will no longer be a CP choice.e

LC was never two credits before this year and that was just for dinner.but it is possible to be easier to get, more room between tables and cleaner. :)

I don't want to sound like I'm blowing my own horn here (I am, LOL); but for those of you who know me or remember, I was saying this was going to eventually happen someday when LC went to signature for dinner.

Funny how the best, most awe-inspiring, almost orgasmic, splended, spectacular, fantastic, earth shaking, life changing, and almost out of body experience of dining at LC is anything but that when it no longer was a single credit on the ddp.

Please note, this tongue and cheek comment comes from a rather cynical person when it comes to LC; I was not impressed with the place for my one and only adr.;)

All meals at all CP restaurants are 2 credits for the CP. As such, go to where you like the menu, since the "cost" is going to be the same across the board.

For 2013, I agree with mopa that it will likely not be a CP participating restaurant.

LC went to 2 credits for dinner in 2011 (roughly March I think). It was, for sure, 2 credits for dinner last September when I was there.

As such, ADRs for dinner have been easier to get (at least, they were last year, didn't have room for it this year so didn't try). With 2 credits at lunch AND dinner though, this gives them the opportunity to make it a truly signature restaurant, instead of a restaurant that charges 2 credits for a slightly enhanced menu.

Or it gives them the chance to charge twice as much for DDP people to give them the same as what they had before. One or the other (I'm not holding out much hope TBH).
