If you have kids younger than 3 yrs. you can stay in any resort.
If your kids are older than 3 you can stay at POR for the best price for only one room.
There is a trundle bed in the AB section and it would probably fit kids under 5 ft. tall.
You can also get a rollaway if you have taller/bigger kids but they cost per night.
POR is my favorite resort, best food court, wonderful pool, beautiful landscaping, boat ride to DTD.
POR is a very relaxed resort and if you want to relax after the parks it definatly would be the place to stay.

Are you specifically asking about Disney? Do you want onsite or offsite? POR is your cheapest onsite option. There are many options offsite. If you are going elsewhere, Embassy Suites are always a good option for families of 5.

We stayed one night at Buena Vista Suites before checking into SSR this past July. This hotel is close to DTD and there is plenty of room for 5. There is also a free breakfast buffet.

I love Windsor Hills offsite. 3 bedroom condo and SOOO close to the parks.

We're a family of 6 and I've found the best value for us is off-site in a vacation home. Check out www.vacationhomes.com, www.vacationrentals.com or www.vbro.com. We usually stay in Clermont, right off the junction of 192 and 27. It takes us about 15-20 min to get to WDW main gate.
