Ps if u need the names of the authors or title i can find them for u!!

everyone seems to be saying harry potter but if you liked the twilight series and dear john you must like romance novels. i recomend Skylight confessions by Alice Hoffman (starts out a little weird), Along for the ride by Sarah dessen, Kissed by an angel (i dont know the author), Lock and Key by sarah Dessen. all of them are basically about young love:)

Awesome! thank you! Ive heard of some of those like Kissed by an angel but ive never actually read them. :goodvibes

Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind. It's amazing, seriously. It's got action, fantasy, romance, everything. :D

Ohhhhhhh that sounds good!!! :) is there anything else you can tell me about it? :)

Has anyone read My Side of the Mountian? I cant remember who it is by but it is a wonderful book and i would recommend it to anyone :)

Every teenage girl should read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I read it as a teenager and as an adult and it is an amazing story that will make you laugh and cry. I highly recommend it! Let me know if you do read it and how much you enjoy it. (I am also a huge Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Kingdom Keepers fan)
PS The 3rd Kingdom Keepers is out and it was really good!

The Maze Runner
13th Reality

My reading material is wayyy wayyy different than y'all's :cool2:. I read a lot of Historical Fiction/Christian Romance. If you like historicals, I'd suggest Tracie Peterson's Ladies of Liberty trilogy, and any of Deeanne Gist's books, and Mary Connealy's Lassoed in Texas Trilogy. Deeanne Gist and Mary Connealy are both insanely funny, or at least they are to me :upsidedow.
I like to read funny books, hence my fascination with Archie Comics...oh, and I love Nancy Drew books. They're classic.
When it comes to REAL classics, I'm more of a Louisa May Alcott fan than Jane Austen. I've also read all of the "Anne" books by L.M. Montgomery. Would recommend doing that to anybody, her writing is awesome, and of course, she's hilarious, and her imagery is EPIC.

i used to love archie comics and nancy drew. and i agree, louisa may alcott is better than jane austin. but i love both :)

I LOVE Nancy Drew books. ever since i was little.

Also i have heard the the Notebook movie and book are different. Even as far as the story line? the actual plot?

:goodvibes

the plot is the same in the book and movie, but there are some different events and the book goes into more detail. i read it a while ago, so i dont really remember all the differences.

Yes! And the sequel, The Far Side of the Mountain!! Loved them. They're by Jean Craighead George. My brother has them both, and I steal them on occasion.

Ohhhhhhh that sounds good!!! :) is there anything else you can tell me about it? :)

It'd be hard for me to try and explain so I'll just type up the description on the back of the book for you.

In the aftermath of the brutal murder of his father, a mysterious woman, Kahlan(pronounced Kay-Lin) Amnel, appears in Richard Cypher's forest sanctuary seeking help.... and more. His world, his very beliefs, are shattered when ancient debts come due with thundering force.
In a dark age when it takes courage to live, Richard and Kahlan must take up that challenge or become the next victims. Beyond awaits a bewitching land where even the beat of their hearts could betray them. Yet, Richard fears nothing so much as what secrets his sword might reveal about his own soul. Falling in love would destroy them---for reasons Richard can't imagine and Kahlan dare not tell him.
In their darkest hour, hunted relentlessly, tormented by treachery and loss, Kahlan calls upon Richard to reach beyond his sword---to invoke within himself something more noble.
This is the beginning. One book. One rule. Witness the birth of a legend!

abundance of katherines, or looking for alaska by John Green
Of mice and men by John Steinbeck
Invisible, Rash, All-in, or Sweetblood. All by Pete Hautman.
Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.
The book thief by Markus Zusak. All time favorite.
The looking glass wars I mentioned earlier is a spin-off kind of to Alice in Wonderland.
The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, or The Lost Symbol. All by Dan Brown.
The Secret Life of Bees

Some books that I have loved:

Harry Potter
The Life of Pi
The Kite Runner (very deep subject content, I suggest you be older in high school to read this and understand it well.)
Alas Babylon
Prep (I forget who this is by, but it was a GREAT book)
Huckleberry Finn (i know a lot of people hated this book, but i loved it.)
Candy (again I forget who this is by, but so good)
The Clique (haha, this is such fun/light reading I loved it)
Gossip Girl (same with above)
The Lovely Bones

I am not really a fan of Nicolas sparks. He describes stuff in WAY to much detail for me. Maybe because I am not a romance freak, but I am currently half way through the last song and don't want to finish it. Its just...boring and bland. Just my opinion though. I also am not a fan of twilight, so you might not like any of my choices :rotfl:

If you're looking for Nicholas Sparks, The Guardian and Message in a Bottle were both really good.

Also, Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson is really good. Especially if you're into Nicholas Sparks, I think you'll really like it.

As others have said, give Harry Potter a try. I didn't really get into them until 2 years ago, and I was 16. Before then I really didn't see the appeal. But I decided to read the first one and fell in love

Ive heard both of these are good but what r they about?

P.S I love you is Set in Ireland, Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry, so it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of 10 letters that will guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The messages are Gerry's way of informing Holly life goes on. The messages include various tasks and treats Gerry has left for Holly. This is his way of letting her know he will always be there for her. Each letter sends her on a new adventure and each signs off in the same way: "P.S. I Love You." Holly's mother and best friends, Sharon and Denise, begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but, in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into new beginning for life.

The Kite Runner tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, who befriended Hassan, the son of his father's Hazara servant. The story is set against a backdrop of tumultuous events, from the fall of the monarchy in Afghanistan through the Soviet invasion, the mass exodus of refugees to Pakistan and the United States, and the rise of the Taliban regime.
The Kite Runner you may not understand unless your in high school. Or if you get into World History. Its pretty graphic from what i remember

Thanks to wikipedia for both of the summaries :thumbsup2

i like history but i like fiction books like KK 1 2&3 but also by ridley pearson is Steel Trap the challenge its great its based in washington DC. its a really good book

You may get hooked on the Ghostgirl series (which I recommend for twilight fans), its about a girl who dies on the first day of her senior year and has to attend a class for undead teens, all while trying to get her dream boy, their are 2 other books, Homecoming and the upcoming Ghostgirl in Love, all are witty.

Another recommendation is The Order of the Odd Fish, a independant book with a cult following, but it may be too weird for your taste, its abouta girl name jo who lives with a crazy old actress who get swept into this adventure in a strange place called Eldritch City, its quite a read.

The Mortal Instruments trilogy.
Sarah Dessen books are my guilty pleasure. Read Keeping the Moon and Along for the Ride.
