The Alanna Series by Tamora Pierce (if you like magic, middle ages, knights, etc)
Ella Enchanted
Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging (and the other books in that series.. really funny british humor!)

if you like suspense and mystery books then definitely Joan Lowery Nixon. She's really good and you can't figure out what happens untill the very end. my favorite of her books is The Seance, but all of them are great

I read The Seance in 7th grade and thought it was pretty good. Don't remember much of it though, since it was a few years ago. Haven't read any of her other books.

my absolute all time favorites: The Great Gatsby

We justed start reading "The Great Gatsby" in my English class. Even though we are only on Ch. 3, it is so far a very good book, so I might second that.

My fave books: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Diary of Anne Frank (very interesting), Summer of my German Soldier (forget who wrote it), Of Mice and Men, The Outsiders, and Harry Potter.
