We haven't been to CBR since Martinique became higher priced. Always had stayed there or Jamaica. Anyone have a good bldg. or room to request in either Jamaica or any other island? Looking for convenience to pool and OPR.

I'm also looking for a good building to request. 2 children will be traveling with me so I am hoping to request a building close to the food court.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!!!

We were in Trinidad this past weekend which I chose because it looked out of the way and quiet (and it was) but it was too far from Port Royale and the main pool. I think Jamaica is the most convenient, scenic building.

I would suggest Bldg. 45 in Jamaica - DH and I stayed there last May and recieved an upgrade to a corner room with a view. We got room 4556 (second floor) which we have requested for this stay also. The pool is only steps away (I think you come out of bldg. 45 and go past one bldg. and you're there).
We found this to be the best 'island' at CBR and will continue to stay there each time we go - hope that helps!!!

How long would you say the walk is from Jamaica #45 to the food court?

Also, What about Martinque # 26? Will we have to pay more to stay in a building closer to the food court?

Thanks again!!!

LAH -
I would that it is only a 5 minute walk to Old Port Royale Food Court (very easy and beautiful); since you are bringing kids, it does makes sense to be close to the food court but yes, you are correct - Martinique is more $$$ because of the convenience. Trinidad North is on the other side of the food court but I am not certain if it is as close.
DH and I do not have kids yet:) but we found that the walk to the food court was quite peaceful and quick - you come out of bldg. 45, take a left, take a right over a small walkbridge (where your kids could throw food down to the fish) and around a small little tropical area and you come out over near Banana Cabana, the the main pool and the food court - let me know if you need any other info:)

DNBois,

Thanks for your quick response. One more question, I hope you dont mind..........if we stay in Jamaica #45, where is the bus stop for the parks?

Also, if Jamaica # 45 is not available, what do you suggest our second choice should be?

If it helps at all safetymom has a great website with Disney pictures (including CBR photos) and the CBR map; just go to
http://www.idhal.com.
As you can see, bldg. 45 is right next to the walkbridge to go to the main food court.

No problem at all - the bus stop is about a three minute walk and here is the best thing of all that I forgot to mention.
The Jamaica bus stop is almost always (about 90% of the time) the first for pick-up and drop-off which may come in handy with the kids:)
If you walk out the back of bldg 45. and go past one more bldg. and straight ahead the bus stop is right there.
P.S. We actually requested Jamaica due to that very reason when we went last May and it made all the difference in the world.
If Bldg. 45 is not available, you could always go with Aruba #51 which is the bldg. right across (to the left) of Jamaica Bldg. 45. and b/c it is so close, you could use the Jamaica bus stop:)
Any other questions - I love answering questions about CBR:)
