Please give your opinions on Yak & Yeti CS -- NOT the table service. Is it pretty good? How are portion sizes? What do you like/don't like there?

On our arrival day we'll be at AK and will be eating lunch at Flame Tree BBQ but I am undecided if we will eat dinner at Pepper Market @ CSR or try Yak & Yeti CS. We have free DDP so I'm not concerned about the "value"...just wondering if it's yummy and if portion sizes are adequate.

Besides Flame Tree and Yak & Yeti CS, are there any other major CS restaurants in AK I'm missing?

Thank you! :cutie:

I love Yak & Yeti, the waitress literately twisted my arm to get the Shaoxing Steak & Shrimp (Skirt steak, tempura-battered shrimp, jasmine rice, stir-fried veggies, and chili plum dipping sauce) which I now HIGHLY recommend...

AND

the Fried Wontons (Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons with vanilla ice cream and honey vanilla drizzle) is one of the best deserts on Disney property....

I promise you won't be disappointed :thumbsup2

Thank you for your review but I am actually talking about the counter service Yak & Yeti (Anandapur), not the table service restaurant. :)

We ate there back in December 2008 and were not impressed at all. We are used to eating at a good chinese restaurant at home and this reminded me of bad panda express. The portions sizes were okay but I would go back and eat at the pepper market or stop by pizzafari there italian sandwich is yummy

We've ate at Yak & Yeti Cs once. We enjoyed it. No, it's probably not high quality Chinese food, but we liked it. The food was hot and fresh, and we thought the portions were large. We all left full.

My family and I ate there last December and were very pleased, the portion sizes were large, which was good as we were sharing meals between two people, and thought it tasted good. My only complaint is that there aren't really many dessert options, which is only a consideration if you are on the dining plan.

we liked the food and my DD and I were able to split an order of honey chicken (I think) and an order of egg rolls. Worked perfect! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the reviews! I think we will probably try and either do Pepper Market or go to DTD in the evening and go to Wolfgang Puck Express (if we're not too tired, it will be our arrival day), but it is nice to know that it is at least a decent option if we find ourselves in AK toward dinner time!

My daughter and I ate there in Dec 2010. The downside is that the seating is limited. We were the only ones that wanted Y&Y in our group so we got our food and then met everyone else at Pizzafari and had a nice table there. It was a little bit of a walk with the food across the park, but worth it and the food was still hot and very yummy.

It used to be good. Last May we went back and felt like the food quality had really gone down and the portions were a bit small. I wouldn't go back.

The beef and broccoli was terrible, but we loved everything else there. The salad was delicious.
