My DH is a big coffee drinker. Currently he is hooked on the Keurig system.
He likes extra bold flavors. His brand is so strong it smells like espresso to me!
The coffee makers in the hotel rooms don't cut it for us. Can someone recommend a spot in each park that sells a strong cup of coffee? (if a spot even exists!)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from a fellow coffee drinker, i have yet to EVER have a really decent cup of cooffee while at disney. :sad2:

I have to agree with that.

Between my two sisters, mom and dad, we go through about three FULL pots of coffee a DAY! So trust me, we were horrified at the nescafe surrounding us in disney. However, my sister printed this lovely list out, and we bring it with us every year.

Okay, I may have some hope for you. I'm a HUGE coffee drinker, and so is the DH. The stronger the bettter for me.

The best coffee I found was at the coffee shop on the second floor of the Poly. Kind of like a Starbucks, different cappucino, lattes, espresso, etc. We stay at the Poly, so every morning we grab a big cup and walk right out onto the Monorail and off to the parks. It's not open all day though, changes around 2-3? to a sushi bar.

If you are staying at a Monorail resort, he can get there pretty easily.

I sympathize with him, I swear, I would have a pounding headache and be miserable if I did not get my java fix.

If you're staying in a delux resort, and have the 4 cup maker in your room, all is not lost. DH and I always bring a stash of good coffee with us (with filters) and make our own coffee in the mornings...neither one of us can wake up without a decent cup in us either!!! A few of the restaurants do serve "good" coffee. I always asked before ordering it at dinner.

haha, totally agree- closest we came was Poly, they use a press, but $$ and only about 2/3 cups per pot. Place right next to Ohana's, forget the name. No Starbucks in Disney Either...

There is Starbucks available in the Swan and Dolphin and the press pot at Boma is great.

I agree with this 100%! :thumbsup2

I'm also a Keurig drinker and I love, love stopping at Tully's for my coffee. This location was a great coffee fix for me. I loved it. While not as good as my normal Tully's, it was still the best coffee I had in the World. :goodvibes

If your DH really likes a good cup of coffee to get going I would recommend the above advice. It is the only way to ensure that you will have a decent cup of coffee in the morning. Personally, of all the possible things to go running around to find first thing in the morning, coffee is the last thing I want to have to work for ..... :rolleyes1

Where is the Starbucks in the Swan or Dolphin? I went to their and I didnt see anything about Starbucks, just a coffee bar called 'Java' at the Swan. It didnt mention if Java served Starbucks coffee. Is Java the place you are referring to or am I missing something?

I think Fresh, at the Dolphin, is the location for Starbucks coffee.

Like the PP said, there is not an actual Starbucks at the Dolphin or Swan; both hotels serve Starbucks coffee for their conventions and at their restaurants.

Starbucks is the regular coffee in Picabu, the quick serve restaurant in the Dolphin. It's what you get if you're staying there and buy their refillable mug. :goodvibes:

My supermarket sells pouches of a brand called Arbuckle's. The pouches make one pot of coffee each. I buy some of them for the trip and pack them in my luggage to brew in the in-room coffee maker (if staying moderate or deluxe).

Sorry, haven't been able to find a good cup of coffee in our 5 trips to WDW.

So, for our next trip, DH and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought one of the mini Keurigs that we'll use for our trips. They were on clearance for $69.99 plus a 20% off coupon. I'll take it as one of my carryons so it doesn't get bashed up. Then we decided to buy the K cups through Amazon and have them shipped to the hotel.

Something to consider if you don't mind bringing a coffee maker.:surfweb:

I like the Joffrey's stand outside of Animal Kingdom. I think it's a pretty good cup. Granted, I tend more towards Dunkin' Donuts instead of Starbucks, so bear that in mind.
