Has anyone cruised before in the Eastern Caribbean during Late August?

I am trying to get an idea about what the weather would be like during that time....I am hoping that it won't rain too much and the seas won't be too choppy.

we didn't go in late August, but we went the first week of September. The weather was good then, and as far as I could tell the waves weren't choppy.

We went on the 9/01/01 Eastern Disney magic. The weather was great. Of course, you take a risk of rough weather, but we lucked out!!!

We've done the three day in late August and the weather was wonderful! I think it rained for about 10 minutes once!

Family of three did August 29 cruise in 2000. The trip was great! Although it was my first cruise, DH insisted it was extremely smooth. The occasional rain showers did not dampen our spirits or change any plans...including Lycan (sp?) beach day at Freeport. We were so pleased with the trip that we have added four more extended family members to our August 25 cruise this year. Hope we are as lucky as we were in 2000. May you too have smooth sailing!

We cruised 8/25/01 - we had WONDERFUL weather and sailing was very smooth. Even heard the cast say that it was the smoothest sailing they had in a long time!! Not a drop of rain either!

Thanks for all of your comments on the weather during that time. Although, I can tolerate the heat and humidity...rain can simply ruin your day ( both at DisneyWorld and the Disney Cruise ).

I am crossing my fingers in hopes of very or no rain at all during the last 2 weeks of August.
