Golfing @ the World?

We are going down to WDW for Christmas this year. I was hoping to surprise DH and DS w/ a round of golf as a gift. My question is, do the golf courses rent clubs? I think we will be flying down and the less we have to drag along the better. Also, which course would be good for a Dad and 11 yr old? DH is a pretty good golfer, DS has been golfing for about 4 yrs and not too bad at it. I'm sure after this summer is over he'll be even better! Thanks for any info.

Yes, they do rent clubs..........I rented clubs on a trip back in 2001, and I recall that it was somewhat pricey to rent clubs, although they were premium clubs...........

I want to say it cost around $40 or so, per set for rentals........but what a great round of golf.............conditions are usually "excellent"......and to do something you love in a place that you love........that is magical...........

I can't be sure but - for four of us last April to play LBV, with driving range, cobra club rentals, carts and green fees it was about $800. (We were on the gold plan and it was all included).
I believe it was about $135 for round and cart, $50-60 to rent clubs and about $5-6 for bucket of balls.

Rental of clubs is around $40-50 but remember you have to place a $500 deposit on the clubs. When the clubs are returned, the credit card slip is torn up.

Osprey Ridge is the most scenic but the most expensive. It is my favorite (I'm a 27 handicapper). Lake Buena Vista is my second favorite - winds through the DVC homes.

However, if you want PGA caliber courses, head to Palm and Magnolia. Magnolia has the famous Mickey shaped head sand bunker.

I have played all 99 holes many times - you can't really go wrong with any of the courses.
