I am planning a trip for my brother and I in a couple months. What I was wondering how the membership works. Can you only book times 14 days or less in advance? How to I see what the prices are. I was hoping to go in october or nov. Is it hard to get times then? Do you know where I can find the prices for each? Any help would be great. Thanks

My DH has a DVC golf card, and I booked his tee times at 90 days out. This was for the last week of September, and there weren't a lot of openings. I'd give them a call now and reserve as soon as you can. You get your golf card for $50 at the pro shop before you play, and they'll ask to see your blue DVC membership card. The golf membership discount is good for a DVC member and up to 3 guests. Fall prices are $79 before 10 AM and $59 after 10 AM - which is a great deal.

Call (407) 938-GOLF (938-4653) to reserve your tee times - and tell them you'll be getting a DVC golf card.

http://www.disneygolf.com has prices, course and other info. You can get tee times there, but the phone is easier.

Check out www.disneygolf.com and you'll see the DVC golf membership rates, and how far out you can book tee times in different seasons. Some times it's 90 days and other times 14 days. You can even book online :goodvibes

We've used the DVC golf card a couple times. We were always able to book 90 days in advance. You can't tee off until after 10:00 am but we traveled in Dec. and Jan. so that wasn't a problem. I'm sure you'll get tee times you may have to be flexible with your times. Good luck.

Actually it changed this year and you can tee off before 10am but it costs about $20 more. There is a before 10am and after 10am price now :goodvibes

DVC Member's can go to the official DVC site and then to the Member Benefits page and download or open the Members Benefits Guide and the info on the golf discount is there. There are three seasons, summer, fall and peak. Exact dates can change annually. Summer basically runs from about end of April to end of September and DVC discount price is $59 per round before 10 and $39 after. Fall runs from about October 1 to about mid-Jan (Jan 20 next year) and it is $79 before 10 and $59 after 10. Peak runs from mid-Jan to late April, $109 before 10 and $89 after 10. You can make tee times up to 90 days in advance for summer and fall but only 14 days in advance for peak season. You actually get the biggest dollar discount during peak season because the regular rates are extremely high at that time, and the lowest dollar discount during summer because regular rates are the lowest at that time. DVC golf card is purchased at pro shop ($50 plus tax) when you first show up for a tee time that you have made ion advance (don't need the card to make the tee time). You can make tee times by phone, 1-407-WDW-Golf, or on-line at the Disney World site.

Unless you're going to be golfing ALOT during the expensive season, i just don't see the point in paying for the golf membership. That membership fee could go to another round! Am i missing something?

It looks like even if we went one time using the membership it would be worth it. And we are going to do each course once.

It is an issue of when you exceed the break even point in savings when you consider the cost of the card. In the peak season, play the Osprey Ridge course once after 10 a.m. and you are better off buying the card -- the Osprey is usually in the $160 range for WDW guests that time of year. The $50 card plus $89 DVC round cost still leaves you less than that.

In the fall season, you need two rounds to justify the card (OR one round with two people; you can have member and up to three guests who each get the discount). In summer season you need three to four rounds (or one to two rounds with multiple players)
