:flower: I just got off the phone with Richard Petty Driving school. The woman informed me that the track was rented out for a private event starting on October 20. She said it was for some sort of golfing event. Does anyone know anything about this? Does it effect the crowds much for being in October? Fingers crossed we still picked a good time to go.

the funai pga golf tournament is at Disney every October - I was there over that weekend last year and still thought the crowds were very light -

don't worry about it - you will not even notice they are there

I got worried about this too, but everyone said those folks stay around the courses and don't do parks much. It got a lot of feedback when I posted. I think we will be okay.

See you there!!
:)

While the parks aren't affected very much, I've also read that you should be careful to make ADRs for meals. Visitors to the Funai Classic may visit restaurants on property quite a bit.

I'll be there during this year's Funai - so I hope things will be light!

We were there last year at this time and only noticed it because we were staying at YC and a bunch of the golfers stayed there as well. Restaurants at YC and Boardwalk were a little more crowded than usual but we had ADR's so it wasn't a problem. I didn't see any increase in the parks.
