Golf carts to bus stops at Fort Wilderness?

I’ve never stayed there, but plan to hopefully next year. I can see I’ll need to rent a golf cart, and I’m wondering do you drive the golf cart to the bus stops and leave it there? If not do you walk from your cabin to the bus stop? Same for the boat to MK?

I have never rented one, but I have seen plenty of them parked near the main bus and boat stops for the parks. If you were close enough to a bus stop to walk, I doubt you would need the golf cart. I have stayed in the cabins a few times and requested to be near transportation and had a short walk to a bus stop.

Thanks!! I k ow we will want to rent one to see the Christmas decorations one night. I just wasn’t sure we would need one to get to the pool and bus stops without a 30 min walk.

Yes many people park their golf carts near the bus and boat stops for the day.

It depends where you’re located how long a walk you’ll have to pools. We stayed a short walk to the quiet pool but used the golf cart to get to the main pool. It could potentially be a very long, hot walk.

I have never had a golf cart. The quiet pool is an easy walk from the cabins. Of course the kids wanted the main pool with all the activities!! But we just took the internal bus. Depending where you are, there are also short cuts. Not gonna lie, the golf cart would be nice (and I’m getting one next trip with the grandkids) but if you are close to a bus stop, probably not worth the money except for the Christmas light viewing

We always have a golf cart, either a rental or we bring our own.
There is ample cart parking at the Outpost bus stop. Main stop for park busses, etc.
At the Settlement there is a decent size lot for the marina and a huge cart lot in front of HDDR.
The Meadows has a big lot near the trading post and another near the feature pool. Cart parking was a little sparse at the quiet pool.
We find the cart a must for getting around the Fort quickly. Also necessary for "looping" during Halloween and Christmas.
Any other questions consider posting in the Camping forum, https://www.disboards.com/forums/camping-at-disney-world.24/. You can get just about any question answered about the Fort. It's a very active forum.
