Golf Carts - FW to WL

We're booked for FW in August and have reserved a golf cart for the week. I thought we would be able to use it to get to the WL, one of our favorite places to eat. But my DH says he read somewhere that the trail is for bikes and foot traffic only. Is this correct?

Yes that is correct. You are not permitted to take the golf cart out of Fort Wilderness...

you can just catch the resort boat, though, it is fast,.

But you can take it directly to the marina and catch the small boat that will take you to the Lodge or to the Settlement bus stop so you can catch a bus to the Lodge.

The golf cart is great fun and quite a convenience!
