Has anyone rented from Orlando Golf Cart Rentals and received an email verification? We payed in full and have one reserved for November but it was all done over the phone. Having no email verification makes me a little uneasy about it. Have never rented from an offsite company before but read some good things about this one.

We just got back and had rented from them. We had no problems. The cart was left in the parking lot by the Circle D ranch, we used it for the week and returned it there. He sent us an email verification. Did you ask for one?
 
I am renting from them this December. I booked in August & received an email receipt the next day. I also verified the correct amount with my credit card. I would call or email them again to definitely have some sort of verification.

Thanks for the feedback. I did as for email verification but never got one. The site I found the number on isn't available now. I have tried to call today but got no answer. Since you guys did get email verification now I am a little worried.
 

Hi I hate to have to tell you this but Orlando Golf carts are no longer in Buisness.the shop is now closed. we had booked a cart there for november so we have now had to go to Central florida Golf carts.They have been in Buisness a few years and have a really good reputation.I went to the store yesterday to orlando golf carts and there is nothing there. Im so sorry to have to tell you this Good Luck

I rented from them for December. I already paid. Did you pay and did you somehow get your $ back? I tried emailing them and I called yesterday after I saw this but of course no response yet. I am steaming mad :mad:

I should have just gone with Disney. More expensive but not going to leave me hanging for my $. I actually talked them up too. So nice when I booked!!!!!

It seems Kenny is the go to guy for off site rentals.
 
If you all paid for the golf cart with your credit card, just call the credit card company and they will dispute the charge for you. I'm sure you will get your money back if you let them handle it.
 
I did get in touch with him the day I posted this. He said he wasn't in his office and he quoted me the wrong dates. He said he would call me back and hasn't. I asked again for an email invoice and haven't got one. This is very frustrating! I will probably end up disputing the charge.

I contacted him on Monday through email asking to add a day to the rental. He contacted me on Tuesday saying okay & that he wouldn't charge me. I emailed him back to confirm the actual dates, but he never responded. Then I saw this post so I emailed him twice more & left two voicemails. I really think it's a lost cause. You can't tell me he didn't know on Monday when we contacted him that he was going out of business!! :headache::mad::mad:
Then to take your $ when he had to of know. He probably thought sucker!!

So I just disputed the charge with my visa, but being that I booked in August I don't know if it will work.

I will not use an outside vendor ever again. I will just try to get a cart from Disney for a few days during our trip for when we go to MK. We can manage without it for most of our stay.

I did get in touch with him today. He acted like everything was still set. He said something has been wrong with phone lines and Internet. So we will find out this weekend if it works out. I will let you know.

I have been reading all your comments.I Have also been to the store and Orlando Golfcarts is no longer there.Hopefully he is honouring your booking.But the shop is empty so good luck to you all.
 
Been reading your posts over the weekend. I am staying at a local RV park so I called at their address and sorry to say it has gone.
They were there last week as I visited another local cart store, but now Orlando Golf Carts have gone.
I hope they honour your bookings too.

You have 60 days from the date of the statement the charge appears on to dispute a charge. So if you charged in August and the bill was dated September, you have 60 days from the September date.

Now, just to play devils advocate, is it possible he has just closed the "bricks and mortar" store and is now just working in the virtual world? Kenny, the highest rated guy renting carts doesn't have a store. Many folks are finding the costs of maintaining a storefront are just too expensive.

Very good point. Never thought of it. I emailed him again today & he emailed me back within an hour confirming my rental & that everything is in order for my trip. I really have a habit of jumping the gun especially when someone is messing with my $.

Did anyone see anything specially stating he was out of business?

I guess I can just wait & see!!
