Golf Cart Question

We will have 4 adults and 2 kids at the cabins in Sept. The two kids are age 8. I was going to rent from FW because of convenience. I do not want to waste any of my precious park time waiting around for a cart to be delivered. Also, the company I spoke with indicated that we would have to meet them outside of the fort and hook up the cart to pull it in ourselves. We are flying in and using ME, no vehicle. So I am pretty sure that puts us out of getting a cart delivered anyhow.

I see that there are mostly 4 person carts available and sometimes you can get a 6 person if they have them. I have read the golf cart rules, but I am not clear on whether or not we can rent a 4 person and have the two 8 year olds sit on laps. Do they allow that, or will the golf cart police arrest me?

IF we were to go with an outside company, how can you get a cart delivered without having to rent a truck and pull it in? Anyone else fly in and rent a cart from an outside company?

Concerning the Disney cart the kids can sit on anyones lap EXCEPT the driver and everyone has to be seated. If you called to reserve your cart call back and have them put you on the waiting list for the 6 seater, if you have not called to reserve you should depending when you arrive they might be sold out.

We are spending Thanksgiving at Fort Wilderness. We have reserved a golf cart (6 seater) from an outside company and they will deliver it to us when we arrive. If you would like, I can give you name of the company we used. Much cheaper than Disney too!
