Where is the best place to rent a golf cart from at Key West? I would need a six seater for four hours max.

Is this something that you want to reserve ahead of time? They are easy to get once you arrive. If you dock in town there are stands along the pier area. If you dock at the Navy base, there are stands in Mallory Square where the tram drops you off.

There are two different docks that Disney uses, one adjacent to Mallory Square (a short walk from the ship, convenient), and the other at the Key West Naval Station (a restricted access area) where you have to take a shuttle from the ship to Mallory Square. Which Disney uses for a particular cruise depends on dock availability. We did b2b cruises on the Magic in January. The first cruise docked at the Naval Station, the second at Mallory Square. We checked the Key West port web site to find out which each cruise would use and planned our two port days accordingly.

I would reserve ahead of time, especially if there are two ships in port. Just to be safe!

I know a lot of people on our recent cruise rented golf carts from SunShine Scooters in Key West.

I looked and I saw that the Magic is the only ship scheduled to be in Key West on May 7th, 2021. But anything could change in the future. Is there a preference of most to which dock she uses there? Is one better than the other, not as if it matters to the guest, lol.

I would guess most people would prefer to dock in town, because it just makes it a little bit easier. When you’re docked at the Naval Station, you have to take the tram in and out of town. So that adds a little bit of transportation time onto the day. It’s not a long ride, but is not optional, as you cannot walk back to the ship.
