I tried looking here but I got conflicting info.. Can you bring gas powered golf carts to the Fort? We are going in Oct and we are taking our FIL's enclosed trailer for storage so hubby can use the truck bed for a part for his tractor so we will have plenty of room for a cart.. but hubby wants to by a gas powered one.

also will we be able to leave the trailer at the cabin will us? Hubby wants to be able to park the trailer inside it at night?

Disney rules say no to gas.
We have electric, I can tell you that in our many trips to the Fort we have seen many gas powered buggies there. I don't believe Disney cares as long as they are not loud and you stay in the speed limits. (this is however just my opinion)

Here are golf cart rules, It says yes on gas, but it has to be quiet. And under 20 mph for speed limit. And they ask that only one vehicle be parked at the cabin. So if you want your truck parked at the cabin the trailer will have to go to overflow. Maybe you could keep the trailer at the cabin and park the truck in overflow?

Gatordad purposely does not have a speedometer on his cart, I wonder why?:confused3 If he had to have one, I bet it would be disconnected;)

As long as you are not a noise nuisance, you won't be bothered...

here is the golf cart regs. No where on it does it say no to gas carts

in fact on the second page it states where electric and gas carts are aloud

Many of the FTW maintenance carts are gas. The reason they rent electric is that it is much easier to plug it in than it to go and fill it up.

Let him get a gas cart , just not a loud one

My apologies to all concerned, I was mistaken,
:thumbsup2 YES YOU CAN HAVE GAS POWERED BUGGIES AT THE FORT.:thumbsup2

Please forgive me for being stoopid.

It's OK. You were just suffering from a senior moment the same kind I had last week with the orange bus route.

Gotta use something after a long night of baked beans and bratwurst :P

Are you calling him OLD? ;) I do that every day. :rotfl:
Not really when I get something wrong my wife says it's a Senior moment when she gets it wrong it's a Blond moment I can't use Senior moment on her since she 5 months and 7 days 2 hrs and 10 minutes younger than I am. Not that she is counting or anything like that

Yes you can, I've never had a problem when I bring mine, I've seen tons of Polaris Rangers and Yamaha Rhinos which aren't even golf carts.

thanks... He will be thrilled and I dont have to walk or take the internal bus with 2 kids and a stroller

Seeing as you are also from Mass, why buy the gas one? Do your research first. If you plan on using it again, you will find that there aren't many CG's in the northeast that allow golf carts. Of those that do allow it, and this goes for the majority of CG's, they only allow electric. I'm just saying, the money saved by owning your own versus spending $500 for a weeks rental (I know, buying will cost more, but over the long time of renting....), you may not ever be able to use the gas cart again until you return to FW.

Just a thought, not meant to be mean or anything...
