We're planning on renting a GC for our stay at the Cabins in Jan 27 - Feb 5 2026. I've only done 'same day' 1 day rentals before.
I know you can reserve up to a year in advance, but is it really necessary to reserve this far in advance for the time of the year of our stay?
Do you pay a deposit or the whole thing upfront?
What is the cancellation policy?
With nDH's back injury we're still in limbo as to whether or not we'll be able to go. I booked the Cabin & paid the deposit and plan to pay it off as soon as we know what's what. It's nice that I can get a full refund if we cancel before 30 days. I really don't want to plunk down full payment for an 8 day GC rental until we know for sure but I also don't want to wait until we get the green light (probably no earlier than August/September) and then find out they're all reserved. Nor do I want to lose any money due to a more restrictive refund policy.
I know offsite rentals are cheaper but we'd rather rent with Disney for this trip if only for the convenience.
