Anyone have any experience showing up at one of the Disney Courses as a single? How about club rental?

Call 1-407-WDW-GOLF and they will get you onto one the courses. They also have rentals.

I played all 5 courses the first week of October and they were all in great condition.

The Disney website has all of the info on rates and rentals.

It's easy, just call ahead (407-wdw-golf) tell them you are by your self and they will fit you in. I have done this many of times and not once was I ever dissapointed! Everyone is friendly and I have met many interesting people. Good Luck! BTW my Handicap is 23

I've played all over Florida as a "single" and it's something the courses and players are quite used to. Because of the high numbers of tourists there are LOADS of players in a similar situation.
The standard practice is to match you up with another group (or number of singles) to play in a 3 or 4 ball. I've never had any problems with a course, or with any group I've joined being "offish" about the situation. Players understand the situation and are friendly and welcoming in my experience. You might find the "Disney Classic" is on (or close) when you're there, it may limit your choice of courses a little.

MY DH is playing as a single on 11/7 at Eagle Pines (7:30am tee time). They said it was no problem!

He will also be renting clubs (heard they are nicer than his own), as he doesn't feel like lugging his own!

Have a great time!
