Does anyone know more details about this "Golden Opportunity"?
Are the 100 points just a one time deal?
What is the price per point?
Are the points for your home resort or SSR?

I called my rep, but she is out? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Disney Vacation Club is honoring the Happiest Celebration On Earth—a worldwide celebration of the golden anniversary of Disney Theme Parks—with a special limited-time offer for Members.

Purchase an additional Ownership Interest equal to 120 or more Vacation Points, and Disney Vacation Club will add 100 complimentary Vacation Points to your Membership Use Year.

With these additional Vacation Points, Members can experience the Happiest Celebration On Earth around the world, revisiting the roots of the magic at the Disneyland® Resort in California or experiencing the "magique" in a new way at Disneyland Resort Paris.

I just received the paper work today. I bought an add on SSr. The points are $95 per point. If you buy 100 or more they are $87 per point. They will take $8 off the selling price. If you buy 120 or more you get the $87 price plus a 100 bonus point credited to your main resort to use this year. The time runs out to use the 100 points at the end of the year (12/31/05). Hope this helps.

Does the paper work indicate that you could bank the 100 pt. ?

How are they working the fees? Do you have to pay for them this year or are they taking care of them? Also what use year are you getting for the SSR points?

Thanks again.

SSR? I noticed everyone talking about adding on SSR, but the newsletter just says "Purchase an additional Ownership Interest equal to 120 or more Vacation Points"

Could it be anywhere?

It is for SSR only. They don't distinguish because they are not currently actively selling anything but SSR.
You can call and get on a waitlist to purchase the sold-out resorts but they charge $89 per point for those with no discounts or incentives.

Here is the wording from the contract about banking the 100 points.
(a) "THE DEVELOPER POINTS TRANSFERRED TO PURCHASER HEREUNDER ARE LIMITED TO A ONE-TIME USE OF THE DEVELOPER'S OWNERSHIP INTEREST REPRESENTED BY SUCH DEVELOPER POINTS. iF THE DEVELOPER POINTS ARE NOT USED IN THE DEVELOPER POINTS USE YEAR OR BANKED TO THE SUBSEQUENT USE YEAR, THE DEVELOPER POINTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY EXPIRE AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASER'S USE. ONCE PURCHASER HAS USED THE DEVELOPER POINTS (DURING THE DEVELOPER POINTS USE YEAR) OR BANKED THE DEVELOPER POINTS (TO THE SUBSEQUENT USE YEAR), THE DEVELOPER POINTS WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASER."
(b) "PURCHASES IS NOT ACQUIRING ANY RIGHT, TITLE OR INTEREST IN OR TO DEVELOPER'S OWNERSHIP INTEREST REPRESENTED BY THE DEVELOPER POINTS BUT IS SIMPLY AXQUIRING A ONE-TIME USE OF THE DEVELOPER POINTS FOR ACCOMODATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RESORT DOCUMENTS."
(c)"Purchaser has elected to receive 100 (quantity) Developer Points for use in connection with the Contract.

You get a Certificate for the Annual Dues which has to be signed and sent back. It states "(a) Purchaser has elected to receive the attached certificate (the Certicate") in connection with the Contract.
(b) Upon Purchaser's redemption of the Certificate, DVD will pay for the Annual Dues associated with the Contract for calendar year 2005, based on the Resort's Estimated Budgets for year January 1, 2005 through December 32, 2005, on behalf of Purchaser."

My use year is March, so it is for March. If you have a different Month you would have to ask your guide.
Hope this is what you wanted.
