Golden Mickeys

I have just seen the "new and improved" Golden Mickeys on the Dream.... it really sucks! The changes that they have made (with the exception of the Little Mermaid scene) are truly awful and do nothing but re-enforce the companies 'full throttle approach to commercialism. I mean, Bob Iger.... really.

The script changes are truly awful too. The lead seems to be more of an idiot now, and not the 'wanabe' star.

Very poor DCL.

I'm glad to hear it has changed otherwise I doubt we'd go to see it again. Sorry to hear you thought it was a change for the worse but at least it changed. I've often wondered how many times one can watch the same show and still be entertained.

Back on my last cruise on the Wonder (several years ago) I managed to miss the Golden Mickeys and was looking forward to seeing it on the Dream in a few weeks but now I'm wondering if I should just skip it...

I think they made some changes because some of the same ideas are in Believe. I didn't find it horrible.

I saw The Golden Mickeys in Jan. 2008 on the Wonder and in Feb. 2011 on the Dream, and enjoyed the show each time. I like all of the shows, including Toy Story that many don't like. However, the new Disney's Believe didn't impress me that much.

I have to say I saw the Golden Mickeys on the Dream in September, I hadn't planned on watching it again, but one person in our group insisted and I really enjoyed it for what it was.

I absolutely LOVE the Golden Mickey's.....I just saw it for the 10th time on our 11/13/11 Dream cruise.

The different scenes are fabulous!!! I love everything about the show....of course I did like Roy Disney better when he was in it but on the Dream it is my favorite show. Cruella is awesome....Tarzan is fantastic.....I love each and every song in it. Love the addition of Rapunzel and her song and scene. Costumes throughout the whole show are great.

Now...you can take Villians and throw it overboard. This is the third or fourth time I saw it, hoping I would like it but still do not...the story is contrived and has no flow...it is just dumb IMO.

I like the songs and scenes in Believe and Genie but I find the beginning hokey. Mary Poppins and the rest of the show is great!!!

I would rate Golden Mickey's right up there with Disney Dreams....but hey, everyone likes different things and that is what makes the world go round

The only time I saw Villains (on the Dream) - I was tired and kept dozing off! I didn't dislike it, but I sure couldn't tell you the story line!

I love the new Golden Mickey's and just LOVE Disney's Believe. The song "What Makes the Garden Grow" is sooooo catchy.

The only two shows I don't care for are Villians and Toy Story. And I REALLY miss Hercules:The MUSEical.

This has prob been addressed before and I totally missed it, but has the Wonder updated their Golden Mickeys with the new scenes/musical numbers?

We love the Golden Mickeys, but are booked on our 3rd Wonder cruise and would love to see it tweaked a bit

I never saw the old Golden Mickey's. I did see it this year on the Dream and enjoyed it. It was my favorite of the shows. Villain's was my least liked show.

Ditto! Especially when we know some of the cast members on stage! I haven't seen Mickeys with Bob Iger....but I did love Roy Disney doing that part, and Whoopie was OK.

Villains....is in it's third reworking and it still stinks. The plot line is not workable, the costumes stink (especially when you KNOW they have better costumes in storage!) At some point they are just going to have to accept that the "fixes" aren't working and can the dumb thing!

The GMs on the Wonder is the same. The updated version is only on the Dream at the moment.

i have seen the golden mickeys on all three ships and still love it. actually the only shows I haven't liked are villains tonight and toy story. To give a heads up the aladin show that is supposed to be on the fantasy comes from California adventure. I have seen it twice there and really enjoyed it. I also like belileve, however I have to admit I miss the lighting effects because they decided not to install them in the dream theater. I hear the fantasy is getting another new show besides aladin and believe but haven't heard yet what it is. hope it's as good as twice charmed or Dream, those are my favorites.

Sony Cybershot H-5....with a great zoom (12x) on ISP setting.....eats double A batteries though!!! Same with the rechargeables.
