Golden Mickey Ears

We sailed in April 2005 and during the sail away party they passed out golden mickey ears to everyone. Is this something new they are doing for part of the celebration? I just haven't heard this mentioned before and was curious.

I would like to know this too. We are booked on the June 18th west coast cruise. I have seen them at DL, but want to know if they will be avalible on the cruise. If not we have to make a trip to the park to get some before we sail.

I don't know if they are the same golden ears they are selling at WDW or not. But in April they started selling golden mickey ears at WDW for the 50th anniversary celebration at Disneyland. All Disney parks are celebrating this event. Maybe the ship was too and on the first day they gave out the golden ears, in honor of the 50th celebratiom.

I just returned from the Wonder and there were NO golden ears handed out to anyone during the Sail Away Party

I read on a post here that on one cruise in April that they were filming promo stuff for the 50th anniversary celebration. I think at some point there is supposed to be some sort of special on tv and that the cruise line will probably be part of it. Maybe you were lucky enough to be part of that.

That was for a promotional spot that was filmed on The Magic that week.

That footage was used this week during the official, week-long kickoff of the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

Hi, I was on that sailing too, and I posted somewhere asking if anyone knew about the filming footage.

So they used it?! Where was it shown? Is there any way I can see it?

When I read that they were charging for the golden hats, I was so glad that I had gotten one on board!

I was at DL last night and they want $10.50 for those suckers. Not too expensive compared to most things there but we didn't spring for them (atleast not yet ) Amy
