So I have been to disney 20 some times but have never done the GS. Can someone tell me about it and if it is a must see? I am going in a week and also wanted to know if you need reservations.... Thanks! :wizard:

no you do not need reservations. and if you have time i'd deffinitely go see it. billy hill and the hill billies is hillarious. i went and saw it during christmas. i loved it.

I think the Billys are THE best thing in the park--a total must see in my book. I'd rather be watching them than doing anything else.

The show runs several times a day (the times are listed on the calendar on the DL site), and they do serve chicken fingers and cheese sticks and stuff like that. So it can be a lunch show or a dinner show. They also have some fun desserts (huge rice krispie treats, HUGE slices of chocolate cake) so we like to go to a show in the middle of the afternoon for a break and a snack. If you go at lunch or dinner time, just plan on getting there at least thirty minutes early. The line for food moves pretty slowly. But you should definitely go see it!! You have to eat anyway, so it's nice to be entertained at the same time. :)

We were just there for spring break. We loved this show. If you appreciate good fiddlin' and musicianship, you will like this show. They're pretty funny as well. (Get the chocolate covered funnel cake. Yummy!) I have a video if you want to PM me.

I've been there lots of times and I dont even know about this show. Where is it perty peas? We have season passes and will be going again soon and I'm putting this at the top of my "to do" list.

It's inside the Golden Horseshoe (not to be confused with Laughing Stock, who perform in front of the Golden Horseshoe). Current showtimes are 11:15, 1, 2:35, 4, and 5:15.

We saw BH at the Golden Horseshoe last summer. I had been to DL 20 times too, and had never set foot in the GH. I didn't even know about the BH show.

There are three BH groups, Gold, Blue and Green. Supposedly the Gold and Blue ones are better than the Green. We saw the Billy Gold. Here is a link with more info:

And here is another link:

So we showed up 45 minutes early for the 5:30 show, and were the 4th group in line. We got a table right in front.

From what I had read on the DL forums, our expectations were high. That might have been our downfall, because we did not think the show was that great. We are a musical family and appreciate their style of music. We might go see them again in the future, but it would not be a priority.

I am not saying they were bad, we just were expecting more, I guess. It was fun, and if you have lots of time, go see them. For lots of people BH is their DL highlight. We won't next time unless we run out of other things to do.

We thought the show out in front of the GH was hysterical and then went inside. We were a bit disappointed in the Billy... They were good but couldnt compare to what we had just seen.
BTW, they have the best mozzarella sticks!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, I love the Laughing Stock guys too. I miss the days where I could catch all of their shows plus two Billys shows all in the same day. But when the schedules got changed, that made it impossible.
