My DH and 2 DDs are sailing on the Magic on March 23. My DH says we should do the 7:45 excursion but I think the 12:45 would be better. My 11yoDD(today is her birthday) is not much of a morning person,so I thought we could take our time, get the braids done and the water would be warmerat 12:45. DH says that wouldn't matter. HELP!!!

hi! we did the Golden Eagle and went on the later in the afternoon one (12:45) and we absolutley loved it! I would defenitely recomend the the Golden Eagle AND and the later time. It is really nice because that morning you can wake up and you don't have to rush or anything and you can just relax a little bit before you go. The Golden Eagle is awesome! The ride on the catemeran is great! They serve you some punch and rum pounch for adults both on the ride up and ride back. (I think alchohol is only served on the way back.) It is really fun to snorkle on the island and the island itself is really nice. They serve some chips and pretzels on the way back along with some little sub sandwhiches. Have a great time on your cruise! I hope this helped you out!

We did the morning excursion which worked well for us. We had the afternoon to go into town and shop for something to wear to the tropical party that evening.

I don't think it would have worked as well to do shopping first -- too much timing considerations with water taxis, etc.

We had a blast on the Golden Eagle and would do it again! We didn't go to the normal place (I think because of rough waters), so I can't say how close to shore they usually dock. We were fairly close, but still required a swim to shore. They do provide life vests for children (required) and snorkel vests for others to use. Also, they have "noodles" that you can float on.

We did the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion in the morning and it worked out great for us. After we returned, we were able to grab lunch onboard and then head out for some shopping.

By the way, the water temperature should be the same in the morning and afternoon. It was a little cool in January, but you quickly adapted to it. You shouldn't have any problem in late March.

Have a great time!
