Hi, does anyone know how much it is to eat here now? I haven't been in a while lol

Same here in the Atlanta area. Then I want to say drinks are about $2 each, so they really add up.

11.99 plus drink here. Way too much for a family in my opinion. We don't go often, but when we do, we go right before they change to dinner on Sunday so we get the best of both worlds... breakfast and dinner foods.

Which restaurant can you eat at for less than that? We don't go to Golden Corral because I don't care for the food, but if you like the food I think you certainly can get your money's worth.

It's more than $11.99 here for dinner. I had a gift certificate last year for $25 and still ended up paying over $5 here for just two of us, and we had water to drink so were not charged for drinks. I have to say, the quality of the food has gone down ... drastically since the last time we ate there. It wasn't worth the $5 plus tip that I paid. We won't be going back but maybe it is just our local Golden Corral that the quality of food is so bad.

No, ours is awful, too. Golden Corral would have to pay *us* to eat there.

Ours was 10.79 per buffet, 1.99 for drinks, and then tax. We only went because it was a baby shower.

In late 2010 Golden Corral near Disney (Rte. 192 Kissimmee) was about $12. plus tax and tip.

Not sure what you meant by quality is so bad; I think it was perfectly good home style cooking.

In my experience, the quality of food varies wildly from one location to another. It also depends on whether the location is busy at the time. If the food is sitting around because no one's there, it isn't going to be good. If the place is packed, the food is constantly being replenished, so at least it's fresh and hot.

Quality wise, food tastes great but.....

Closest Golden Corral is an hour drive down the interstate for us (anything would be at least 45 minute drive to eat out...) Screaming down the interstate home at 95 mph isn't enough time to get back to the house for the bathroom, if you know what I mean. Might make it in my car because it will do 140, but with the family we take the Ford and it shuts down at 105 mph....

We don't go out to eat often, except for chic fil a or Mcdonalds for my DS who is finally starting to eat typical kid foods due to ASD issues. We went out to Smokey Bones last month and spent $40 on lunch and decided that we were better off eating at home. If we want to go out to eat we go someplace that makes things I don't cook well, like our favorite japanese place, which costs less than Golden Corral. This is not an area of our lives we choose to spend money on, so spending that much on the G. Coral isn't a worthwhile option. I do love the yeast rolls though.

Our family of four can eat Mexican food for about $20 (including tip!). DH and I split fajitas for one (WAY too much food for one person) and our boys split a kids meal (I'm not sure how much longer that will last us, though!). DH and I drink water, we pay for an extra drink for the kid who is splitting the kids' meal. I love Tex-mex :lovestruc!! --Katie

I like Golden Corral here in WI, but the ones in the Orlando area are dirty. There is not enough staff to keep the place clean and it is so packed that you have to stand in line for a long time for the steaks.
