Golden Corral?

Oooh...i like it...lots of choices and all you can eat. Works for me :)

We like to call it the "trough"... it's good, for what it is - but I think it's a bit overpriced for a buffet, also.

The Golden Corral here started out with good food. After a year or two, the quality and taste of the food went down. Now, I wouldn't give it to my dog-no joke.

We have them around here. There is a lot of variety, but they have raised their prices over the years.

THe WW leader calls it the "Golden Trough";)

Hope your GC turns out to be a nice place! We've only been to ours twice, and decided not to go back. I don't mind the line to get in, but it is very loud and elbow to elbow. The food is descent, but they pack them in like sardines, so you can hardly move between tables. Luckily, for similar price we have an big selection of restaurants locally we can chose from. :goodvibes

It is a buffet. Standard fare.

We went when the kids were little and now we wouldn't go there unless we were desperate.;)

Perfect for salad and dessert. Ryan's, which is similar and used to be around more, was always much better IMO.

my dw has an unwritten rule that she doesnt eat in a place with "corral" in the name. go figure.

Same thing happened here! The place is nasty.:scared:

Personally I like it because there's a lot of variety .. but it isn't the best food.

BAD!!!

STAY AWAY!!!

(you were warned)

I wouldn't go there for a fancy dinner, but it's a decent place to grab breakfast first thing in the morning. It's gone up in price over the years and we rarely go there anymore (maybe once a year, if that?), but I definitely prefer breakfast over dinner. The steak was awesome when I was in college and couldn't afford a real steak dinner, but now that I'm older and have perfected my own steak and splurge at the occasional steakhouse, I don't even bother with the steak there when we go for dinner.

It's worth a try. If you don't like it, then you know not to go back!

We don't have any GC's in our area, but I make it a point to go to one whenever I am traveling. Some of the food is just standard, but the fresh stuff like steaks and turkey and chicken is as good as it gets anywhere.

High priced??? You have got to be kidding me. $12.00 for all you can eat with about 150 items to choose from, that isn't high priced at all. Some of the veggies are #10 can variety but some are fresh, like carrots, broccoli, and corn on the cob, amongst others. McDonald's is the only place that comes to mind that might be cheaper, but that is with a measure proportion.

I wish we had one around here. They are great. Don't take my word for it, try one and you will see.

I just spent a week paying $15.00 for assembly line, cold and overpriced food at Disney. That consisted of an omelet, toast ($1.29 for two slices of white bread) and a small orange juice. GC's is like dying and going to heaven after that.
