I have heard they offer a kids eat free program. Does anyone know anything about this restaurant?

What are the prices like? What ages for the kids are free? My niece is lactose intollerant is there food there that she would be able to eat?

The Golden Corral is one of my families favorite offsite locations to eat at and we think the best location is at 8707 VINELAND AVENUE. Besides that here is a link to their website so hopefully it will have answered some of your questions. http://www.goldencorral.com/

I hope that they're better than the Golden Corrals in my hometown.

I'd trust CR's recommendation, though. A well-managed Golden Corral would be a great value. They offer a lot of variety at affordable prices, and I think your niece would have no trouble finding things to eat.

Golden Corrals can be really good or really bad, depending on where you are eating. When you find a good one, the food is really good, just like homemade.

Wonderful salad bar, homemade rolls and desserts, potroast almost as good as my own. Homestyle, comfort type foods.

Does anyone know the prices?

We are driving down to Seatle/Tacoma and I need to find a place to eat that will work with my neighbours family and my niece who can't eat McDonald's food. I'm not sure about other fast food chains with the LI.

There is a Golden Corral on our way to the motel we are staying at near Sec/Tac. I'm open to other ideas if anyone has a suggestion.

I remember someone mentioning that Golden Corral was good and thought we should give it a try.

There's a really nice and brand new Golden Corral on 192 right across the street from Celebration. It just opened a couple of months ago.

This post has nothing to do with WDW, OP is looking for a restaurant in Washington State.

I'd suggest simply going to the Golen Corral website for location info. Pricing will vary by area, but I've never seen a kids eat free program there. I've seen reduced pricing, say $1.99 on Tuesdays only, but not free. Adult dinner probably runs $10-15. The LI would mean no dairy so ordering food w/o cheese/milk/yogurt should be enough "avoidance". I think that still leaves a lot of choice, even at McDonald's. Now if you were talking CiCi's pizza, not so much.

Actually, McDonald's has milk in the fries and the chicken nuggets at least in Canada. Also almost all bread has milk in it. I make her bread-it is hard to find dairy free and is expensive when you do! Avoiding cheese, milk and yogurt is not enough for some people with LI. If my niece eats the smallest amount we will know! She once snuck a Quality Street chocolate (coconut one) and ate it.

Someone started a thread a while back and started listing places that had kids eat free. Golden Corral was one of the restaurants listed. I already have the address of the one in WA.

I was just wondering about prices as I have never been to Golden Corral.

I had the misfortune to eat a GC a few weeks back. That is a meal i wouldnt wish upon a death-row inmate for a final meal.

Yes its a lot of food & yes its cheap, but so is dog turds and you wont see me eating those either.

We are not buffet people at ALL at home but we love the GC on Vineland. It's always clean and the food is constantly being changed out. Our GC at home is nasty but the one in Orlando is great.

The Golden Corrals I've been to at WDW have been good. It depends alot on the management to keep strict QA/QC with staff.

I don't know about the LI issue.

Another choice would be the Hometown/Old Country Buffet chain.

Thanks for the info about Old Country Buffet, I have eaten there at the one in Bellis Fair.

I guess the prices are different at each place that is why I can't find prices.

Everyone has different taste, but my family's in the "GC is nasty" camp.

OP, you would probably have better luck asking this on Tripadvisor.com in the appropriate city's forum. TA is a great source for planning non-WDW trips, & you could get location specific info.

GC is like Old Country, Hometown, or any of those cheap buffets.
It is about quantitiy, not quality.
Food is like a bad cafeteria.

Is it located in that plaza which is across the street from a Radisson and Homewood Suites?
If you know where Water Mania used to be, it's right next door to that, with a Shoney's and hotel on the other side. There is a nice, new Starbuck's by the Shoney's too. Not too far from Arabian Nights.

Yes I know exactly the location you are referring to.

Thanks tarheelmjfan -never heard of tripadvisor. I'll check it out.
