Golden Corral Breakfast Question

I've heard about Golden Corral's great bfast buffet. There appears to be about 4 Golden Corrals in the WDW area. Is one better than another? How is the GC on 192 near Sherberth Rd/AKL? Thanks for your help.

I have only been to the one right by DTD. The food was fairly good, for a breakfast buffet. This Golden Corral was clean and seemed to be pretty new...

The one on 192 West isn't bad, but we've been to 3 of them, and the one by Downtown Disney had the best service by far. I would not recommend the one on 192 East (Kissimmee). It just wasn't up to their usual standard.

If you are coming out of DTD from Hotel Plaza Boulevard, you will follow it ot the end and turn right onto SR535. Get over into the far left lane. After you go under I-4, you will take a left at the next set of traffic lights. Stay in the farthest left lane at that light, too. Once you turn at the light, Golden Corral is the first driveway on the left side.

Honestly, I don't know if the one near Sherbeth Rd on 192 is considered east or west but we weren't too impressed when we were there in July. We stopped there for breakfast one morning and it was our first time at a Golden Corral. It wasnt very crowded since we were having a late breakfast but the service wasnt very good (and since it's a buffet you dont require much service) and the majority of tables were empty but still dirty. I don't mind wiping off crumbs but the tables were sticky from syrup, etc. so you really needed a wet cloth to clean them. Also, many of the food choices had empty serving trays in the buffet and they weren't being replenished. It was late for us to eat breakfast but still well before lunch so that was annoying for us.

Don't mean to put a damper on your plans but if you have a choice of locations I would consider Downtown Disney over Rt.192 Sherbeth Rd. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day but for an inexpensive breakfast option we will avoid it in the future given the number of other choices available.

We've never done the GC for breakfast. What types of foods do they have. We've eaten at the GC only twice and it was near our home. We don't care for it. However, we also don't like the Ponderosa's by our house, and we like the on's there in the Disney area.

Just avoid the Golden Corral on International Drive. We are big GC fans and this one is not up to GC standards. We've eaten at the one on 192, the one on 535 (DTD location already mentioned) and our very favorite GC location on West Colonial Drive. It's the best of the bunch but it's out of the way as far as Disney goes.

I just called the Golden Corral near DTD and they said they do not have a breakfast buffet during the week, only on the weekends. Yet I have read many posts that say this place is good for breakfast. Either all the postees ate during the weekend or the person I spoke to at the Golden Corral is wrong. Has anyone eaten breakfast there during the week recently???

About a year ago I ate at the one near DTD on a Tuesday Morning. This was during "Spring Break" so maybe they have special hours because of the influx in tourists...

When visiting the area in Nov we stopped in at the GC near Sherberth Rd. (192 E or W?) and were not happy with what we saw once inside. We left as it was not clean looking, and very unappealing. We were pretty hungry so walked down a little and ate at the Shoney buffett which was ok. We were glad to get into our pool home rental and do our own breakfasts! I'm sure they all varry from time to time.

Just ate at Golden Corral near DTD on Wednesday. Very good!! DD8 loved it. We also went back for the "Steak buffett" Thursday evening which was pretty good, too. Golden Corral near DTD definitely has a morning breakfast buffet!

The only time we ever ate at GC (on 535) was for breakfast. I was sick for the whole next day. I'll never eat there again.

Just ate at the one on 192. Wasn't horrible but the GC on 535 is much nicer. It is west on 192. I always have them make me an omlet so I dont have to eat the mass produced eggs.

The new Golden Corral is on Kirkman Road directly across from the Universal Kirkman entrance. We haven't eaten there so I can't give a review. We always ride a few miles to the GC on West Colonial at Hiawassie. IMO, it's the best around and much less crowded as it's not in a tourist area. Good service, too.
