Can someone please answer a question for me? How/where do you get the gold set, can you still get it, and what all is included? I'm asking b/c I have some that I got in a trade, and want to know how rare/valuable all the gold edition items are for trade purposes. I want to make sure I know the value before I accept any trades....like if could hold out for something better, etc.
I need as much info as possible on the gold set (turnstile, philharmagic chair, generator, rope, penny press (I think) and a scoreboard is what I have.
Thanks!

~Mia~

ok first, you get the gold set in the quest at WDW in Florida. yes you can still get them. this is what is included:

all gold rope
gold phillarmagic chair
gold penny press
gold generator
gold light up box (srry, don't know what it is actually called :rotfl2:)
gold turnstile

also remember, the ALL GOLD ROPE is in the package, so don't get fooled by any of the other ones. (like the gold and red one) i say this because the gold and red rope used to be the rope that you got in the gold set, but now they changed it to the all gold one. be careful on what you get for it. it isn't the most rare thing on VMK, but they sure do have good value to them.

Ok so you only get it on the insider tour?

Well, that's how I got mine. It is called the Disneyland Golden Show Designer Collection Series 1 of 30 (Series 1). It is for the 50th Anniversary. I would suspect that they would be fairly limited.

I also recieved mine at Disneyland, on the insider tour. However mine come with the Gold and Red rope... :badpc:

I was wondering, I got the whole gold set as part of the trade for my inferno, and since then ppl have been trading me gold edition turnstiles left and right, so I have 3 or 4 now!

i did not know that you get the gold and red one at Disney Land. i am sorry, lol. the rope you get at WDW, it is all gold. my friend, Tedward goes there all the time, so he is so rich. if you have inferno for trade (probably not, very few ppl trade inferno) you should look him up. he has a ton of beta, rare quest, and magic for trade for it. anyways, does anybody know if they will ever stop giving out those codes. obviously in 20 years it will be stopped, but will it soon? i have heard rumors about it, and just wanted to clear it up.

If you are talking to me, I already traded inferno. That's how I got the gold set and a buncha other great stuff. I miss my little "Infernie" (that's what I named him: Infernie) but the deal was too sweet to pass up. Granted, I have given away a lot of the stuff I got for it, but hey it's that season where giving gifts and making people happy gives you the warm and fuzzies! :grouphug:

If anyone with an extra inferno (or even just one!) wants to feel warm and fuzzy....I can help with that. See, you could give it to me since I gave or traded away most of the stuff I got for my inferno. I made a lot of people happy and it's a great feeling :)

Kidding, I know that no one is going to give me inferno. But you know what I realized? My favorite thing (well, about the only thing really that I like) about Christmas is giving gifts. Getting them is sweet too, I mean come on: if I said I didn't like opening presents you would knowI was full of it! But I prefer to give them b/c I love to see the look on people's faces when they open them. I get too impatient and want to give them their gifts early. I already gave my fiance one of his (a small one....impulse buy that I saw and knew he would love).

What I realized was, I get the same feeling when I surprise someone with a virtual gift on vmk. Especially when we do not discuss it beforehand on DIS or VMK. I like to just trade request and pop something great up there, and say its free. The "Wow, really? OMG ty!" is almost as good as a face when opening a gift I gave someone. I love making mules just to buy a bunch of stuff, go find rooms of new members that are almost empty, and just give them the stuff. They are usually like, "why did you give me that for free?" I say, because it's Christmas time, pass on the kindness!" and leave. Saturday I made a mule to get four green hats for me, but instead I asked ppl in the emporium "does anyone want a green hat but cannot affford one?" I ended up giving them all away. No biggie, I just made another mule. BTW, I have surprised a couple of DIS ppl with presents from my mules and they had no clue it was me :)

Sorry WAY off topic, and I realize I sound like I'm bragging about being a saint or something. I'm not, I just want to share how fun it is to do that kind of thing. I know a lot of you already do that stuff. I read wonderful RA'sOK on that thread every day!
It's just fun when you have time to make mules and do it, and you have to admit it makes you feel good (unless they are ungrateful little snots....but most are not).

I feel bad for the vmk kids and newbs that do not know about mules and say things like "omg ur rich!" those are the people I want to give stuff too, not ppl who demand things and are ungrateful. But they are out there, be sure of that!

Yeah, so, back on topic: gold stuff. I have extra turnstiles now if anyone needs one! PM me about it!
Pass on the joy!
Love and Happy Holidays,
~Mia~
