Gold/Plat Opening date booking and onboard reshop with Costco

New Costco exec member here so looking at taking advantage of their cash card and 2% back offers.

Looking for experiences with doing opening day reservations with Costco, in particular if you are Gold of Platinum.

Can they do it? Or are you better off making it yourself with DCL and then transferring the reservation over to Costco?

Also, if you later reshop onboard, do you make it directly with DCL and then transfer it to Costco back home? My understanding is that Costco does not change the cash card amount if you book directly with them or transfer the reservation later (within 30 days).

I've heard that if you currently sailing and make an onboard booking, DCL will only add the same TA or non at all. So if you want to switch, you'll have to transfer it after when back home.

On early opening days, you will call Costco and then they will call Disney. No direct booking on Costco until the open booking date occurs.
You'll be waiting on the phone either way, but if you do it with Costco, then there is no need to transfer later.

If your cruise is booked through Costco and you reshop, the cruise will stay with Costco.

The cash card amount has been the same whether OBB, Transferred or direct booking. This could obviously change, if Costco desires.

Same TA or none.
