Gold Philharmagic Chair

My son has a Gold Philharmagic Chair that he's most likely wanting to trade. He was told that it is beta, but I don't see it on the beta list at the beginning of this board. Is it beta?
At any rate, post or PM me with offers and I'll pass them along to him to decide on.
Please be aware, I will be conducting the trade for him. Being the over-protective Mom that I am, I'd rather he remain anonymous! Please rest assured this truly is his item and he will receive any and all items that are traded for it.

The Gold Philharmagic Chair, I'm sorry to say is not beta. A while back, you could find 50 hidden mickeys in VMK, once you did, you were given a coupon in the form of a pdf file. You were to print this coupon and bring it to VMK central, the prize was for the entire Gold Emporium Collection (the penny press, the rope, the turnstile, the number generator, etc.), but now that the 50th celebration is over, according to the VMK card site, these items are retired, but not beta. It is true I believe that both parks are out of these cards and are not getting new ones until the new quests coming early this year are released.

And you know, I just have to add in that I love this board! I knew the instant he mentioned the beta idea that I could come here and get an honest answer, and not have to worry about somebody lying about the value of it just to get a good deal on it. That happens so much on VMK that it makes me leary of trading at all! Thank you everyone for being honest!

Youl will notice if you search for Gold Philharmonic Chair, you will see it is Q. Occasionally an item will get rereleased, like the pink slipper chair which was beta and was given out in a 1 time host event a few month back. However, excellent efforts are made to update the guide accordingly.

Do you mind if I add to the history? Yes, the Gold Collection was given
out most recently as a .pdf file redemption for completing Hidden Mickey
Quest II.

But originally, the Gold Collection was given out back in the good ol' days
when the VMK Tour was still being conducted. Once you turned in all
three quests (and the "optional" Tomorrowland quest printed from home),
you received the VMK Tour card, which had the code for the VIP badge.

The tours started and ended at VMK Central. At the end of the tour,
the tour guide handed out all of the tour quest cards, and the Gold
Collection was just an added bonus back then, as part of the tour.
When I took the tour at WDW, the prizes were the Haunted Mansion quest
items. Later, the prizes changed to Pirate quest.

I don't know if the Gold Collection was still being given out during the change
to Pirate quest, but I did get my first Gold with the Haunted quest.

You're very welcome, i'm sure as you read more and more on the dis, you'll see my posts and trades are made very quickly, not just me, but many people here.. and i have come to believe speed is efficiency
