Gold memeber Castaway gift

On the second night, we received a special CC gift for being Gold members. It was a nice passport wallet. The other gift was this random luggage strap. It just didn't make any sense. It seems too big for the new tote bag (which already has straps) and obviously isn't a lanyard or camera strap. (It's bigger and wider than it looks in the photo)

I'm including a picture of it, but does anyone have any idea what this large luggage strap is for? I was hoping maybe we would get a nice piece of luggage or something on the third night.

I mentioned it to one of the crew at Mickey's Mates but he had no idea. He was joking that DCL just digs up random junk and gives it to returning guests as a "thank you gift".

Luggage straps are traditionally put around your luggage to make them stand out from all the other black bags out there.

Is it a belt?
Maybe it is supposed to be used to "piggyback" smaller bags on top of larger rolling luggage.

It is to be used as previously mentioned...to put around your suitcase to make it stand out from others and/or keep it closed. I have several Mickey ones that I use all the time but are much wider than the one we received for our CC gift.
