Gold Circle (Inspired by the Macy's thread)

Anyone else remember this store??? I LOVED this store, and there isn't anything around now to compare to it. I guess maybe Target, but even that's not a real comparison.

Gold Circle was our one stop shop for back to school, toys, shoes, you name it.

I remember Gold Circle....it used to be Twin Fair before that.

I think Target is a good comparison...although I think maybe the clothing was better (wasn't it all back then).

Wasn't Gold Circle the discount arm of Federated that was dissolved when Federated went bankrupt in the 80s? Now Federated is stronger than ever with macy's.
