Hi all,
Heading down to the Wilderness Lodge at WDW this Sunday after a long absence. We have 2 Gold Annual Passes that we need to redeem and I guess have converted to Sorcerers AP’s with the PhotoPass option included. We also have 4 8-day Park Hoppers for others in our party. We don’t have any physical cards/tickets at all, the tickets and AP’s are all just on my Disney account. My question is this, is there a good (or bad) place to do this? Can I just go to a park entrance and will it be handled correctly? Can I do it at the Wilderness Lodge? I just don‘t want any problems when our group is there and ready to get into the parks. What is my best bet? Thanks, Rich

I don't believe you can do it at any resort, you have to go to one of the parks and go to Customer Service and they will get the AP all set up for you. We converted ours at MK with no problems.

Just go to one of the ticket or GR places outside of the park to take care of the APs. If your guests don't have MB, the resort can give them a plastic card that will hold their ticket and be their room key.

I'd consider stopping at Guest Services in Disney Springs on Sunday (if you are driving) & do the AP conversion there - or if you arrive early enough at BRV, taking the boat to the MK and doing it at Guest Services (outside the park) on Sunday evening. That way, you'd be all set for !Monday morning.

I agree with trying to take care of this on Sunday if you have time. If you can go to DS, the Official Disney Ticket Center across from D-Luxe Burger or Guest Relations nearby should be able to take care of your tickets.

Great, thank you!

Great idea, I think this is what we’re going to do. We will have a rental car (van actually) and will stop by DS and do it there before we check-in. We are hoping to go to AK that evening because MK closes early at 4:30 that day. Other question if you don’t mind: do all the members of my party have to be there, or can I get all of their plastic cards for them?

That’s the plan! Thank you!

Those with APs to convert will have to be there with you when you do that. But you can get the others' key cards when you check in. Tickets are actually linked to MDE accounts and the key cards are also linked to MDE accounts (for admission to park), and of course the key cards also open the villa. Basically, everything is accessed via MDE.

Okay, so I will be doing the 2 AP’s (my wife and I) at DS and the 4 PH’s not until we get to the resort? Also, other question (sorry), is it a problem that all of the PH tickets are on my MDE account?

I assume the PH tickets are in your MDE account and assigned to your guests, as is the DVC reservation. If not, you need to do all that now. If you have trouble, ask the CM at Disney Springs to help you.

There's really nothing to do at DS for those PH tickets if everything is properly linked in your MDE account. The plastic cards you get at check in will open the DVC villa & will also access the ticket for each guest. They will then be able to use those cards to access the PH ticket at the park turnstiles, and also open the villa. If you want the guests to have charging privileges, you can arrange for that at check in.

Awesome, I am all set then. We will stop by DS on the way for the AP’s and take care of the PH’s at the resort. Thanks so much for your help (and your patience) CarolMN!!

When we activated our gold renewals, the ticketing booth didn’t add PhotoPass. We had to go to GR to fix that.

I was able to activate my husband’s AP when he wasn’t there. I needed a copy of his ID.

@clarker01 , this is important to note. Since you both have Gold AP renewals, you should both get the Sorcerer AP with PhotoPass Download when you activate. Sounds like you should go to GR in DS as opposed to the Ticket Center.

Thought I read they are now renewing all Gold APs as Sorcerer's passes, so the Photo Pass is not included (but can be added for $99) and the black out dates are those for Sorcerers Pass.

But I also think the DS Guest Services is the best place to take care of things.

Gold pass Renewal certificates get the photo pass included when converted to Sorcerer

Gold pass new vouchers get it included too

People who had a gold pass but had not yet been able to buy the renewal certificate before last September do not get the photo pass for free.

Not sure if it matters but our Gold AP’s are new purchase, not renewals. We purchased them 2/12/2020 and never activated them.
