Any advice on how to balance between kid friendly attractions, and teen thrillers, so that everyone gets to "do" stuff. Like maybe get FPs for the thrills while riding the easier rides?? Anyone have experience with this? I dont want our family to have to split up all day, but I don't want anyone to HAVE to ride alone too. Any thoughts or stategies that you have used would be great :)

We have a 13, 10 and 8 year old, all with different ideas about what constitutes 'fun'. So we take the path of least resistance, sending one parent with the child (it's usually only one) who wants to do something different, hopefully riding something the other two don't care about too much. For example, three of us might do Space Mt. while Dad and the youngest do the nearby Astro Orbiters.

You almost can't avoid splitting up, at least part of the time, but if you plan it in advance you should be able to work things out so that you're doing things nearby. We also sometimes just walk through the queue together, then meet up after the ride. So far, it works well for us.

We're a mix of infants (1), older toddlers (2 and a half), school age kids, (5), teenagers (18), young adults (age 21-26), older adults (29-35), and middle aged folks (50s).

We're planning on staying together and riding everything. Anything that the smaller kids enjoy we'll go on with them, or have a well earned rest outside! As for thrill rides, someone will wait with whoever doesn't want to go on and occupy them elsewhere (eg Space Mountain, we'll take the LO's on Buzz).

You don't have to split up to have a good time as long as everyone's willing to try the rides (for example It's a Small World... I don't blame anyone for running away from that one! :rotfl: ) but if you do want to split, arrange a time and easy to spot place to meet back up again. Or use walkie talkies/cell phones to stay in contact!
