Hello everyone! I'm new to the Board. A friend recommended me and frankly, it's been the best help!! Thanks so much! I know there is a lot of advice on this, but I have a few more specific questions. We're planning a trip in Dec. with my Daughter who will turn 3 while we're there. I've read so many posts that say it's a perfect age! I'm so glad, because grandma and grandpa were beginning to re-think things. So, thanks, first of all! :) My other question is this. She just turned two, and is only 32" tall. She is rather short for her age. She will likely grow a lot in the next year, but even with the kiddy rides (Dumbo, Carousels), is there still a hight requirement? I'm so scared she's going to be too short to do things! She's my first baby, so obviously I don't know how much they grow from 2-3. Thanks for your help!!!!

We've taken my DD at 2, 2 1/2, and 3 1/2 - she's loved each trip more and more. So your 3 year old will have a great time. She'll be able to ride all the kiddie rides - there are no height restrictions. There are height restrictions on some of the grown-up rides - like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, etc. -but at 3, I doubt she would want to ride these anyway. Bottom line - the rides with height restrictions are the exception - she'll be able to do everyting else!

My ds turned 3 the week before our trip last year (it was his 5th trip!). He really enjoyed everything and had alot of fun. He still remembers some things too, so for people who say they don't remember, they do!

He has been brought up on Disney so he knew who the different characters were from the movies. He loved getting autographs and having his picture taken with them (although I had to stand in between him and Jafar!).

You will have a great time, it is a good age because everything is so new to them and their innocence is so precious.

Have a great trip and happy planning!

Nancy

This is a nice calculator I found to see what rides your child can go on. You just put your child's height in and it tells you the rest! I also copied the info over and put it on a spreadsheet and organized it into the different theme parks. I plan on printing it out for each park on a small postcard and I will use it as a reference.

The site is: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/height.htm

Hope that helps! We are going w/ our almost 3 year old too! :teeth:

My DD3 is also small for her age, but still had a wonderful time at DW. There was only one ride we attempted with a height requirement. (Stitch - YUCK) My daughter grew a lot between 2 and 3, but ended up still being a bit shorter than most kids we know that are the same age. Don't worry - she and the rest of your family will be able to ride lots of things and have great time. I got all teary seeing the wonder on my DDs faces when we went a few weeks ago.
