My husband and I are huge disney fans and we are taking our 6 month old baby girl for her first trip next weekend. What rides in fantasyland can we go on with her? I am not expecting to be able to do much with her but I just love being there!!

I'm at Disney now, and have seen babies on every ride that doesn't have a height restriction. Most parents just wear them in some type of front pack and they are good to go. So you should be able to take her on a lot of rides and have a great time!

Our daughter was 5 months when we went in December. Have taken younger though. She rode everything in the park except the coasters, Splash, Autopia, Matterhorn, and the teacups, I think. I love DL with babies. Have fun with yours.

We took both of our girls there at 6 months and they did great. I believe all of the rides in Fantasyland can have babies brought on, so you shouldn't have any problems.

Actually, in general, we felt as though we could take the babies on the vast majority of the rides in the entire park... only rollercoasters and things like them were off limits.

We took our youngest DD at 6 months. She went on everything that didn't have a height requirement. I highly recommend some sort of carrier to "wear" (I hate that term) your baby. DD was able to stay in our Baby Bjourn on and off rides. Some CMs may ask you to face her forward on rides, but the one time I was asked DD was asleep and they let it go. Be sure to take advantage of FPs, Rider Swap, and Single Rider lines so mom and dad can ride the "big kid rides".

We took our youngest daughter when she was 6 months old. She went on all the rides in Fantasyland except Dumbo and Teacups. She loved going on the rides. It was so cute watching her on Small World just trying to take everything in.

We took our DD in January when she was 6 months old. Unfortunately we only got to take her on a couple of rides. She did great on Pooh, but started to scream on the Casey Jr. Circus Train when it picked up speed & got really loud (we were in the monkey cage). So after that, DH was afraid to take her on any more rides. I'm sad that I didn't at least get to take her on Small World. She really liked Goofy though, got a few cute pics of her touching his paw. :)

Just wanted to add, the baby care centers at the parks are great! There are private areas if you're nursing, and places to change diapers, heat up bottles, etc. The one at DCA was empty when I went in. The nursing area there was great, they had rocking chairs.

We took her back to the hotel a couple times for naps. Taking a little one was a challenge, but I'm glad we took her. Great memories.

When we went on our trip in November our youngest was 6 months old, he went on most everything that didnt have a height requirement with us. He had a great time! When we went in April right after he turned one, he was not nearly as easy since he was afraid of more things. I hope you have a great trip!!

I took my grand daughter first time at age 5 weeks and second time at age 9 months. We didnt take her on the obvious fast rides but other wise we did everythign with her. She slept in stroller much of the time first and last time she loved seeing and doing eveyrthing we did. We took turns watching her so we could do fast rides.

Yup, the little ones are included in all the rides except big coasters ofcourse. Have fun!
Took mine at 2 months and he slept in the sling the whole time :)
Planning our next trip in October and my #3 will only be about 2 weeks. :)
But that trip is with the whole family, so grandma is willing to watch baby #3 while we get on the rides with the other two.

We took DS at 6 mos & we ended up staying away from all the dark rides. We took him on PotC & he screamed thru the whole slow ride. I felt horrible for all the people who had to hear that thru the ride. Once we were off, he stopped screaming. He also cried at the psychedelic part of the Pooh ride.
We also had him in a baby bjorn for the rides. He did not like how loud the fireworks were, so we didn't bother w/those. He loved watching the parade & he loved the characters.

I took both my kids at the age of 6 months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a calmer, gentler way to see the parks. I also loved sitting in a rocking chair in the baby center, just relaxing while contemplating what to do next. You will have a great time, because you appreciate Disney. We enjoyed just walking around with the baby. Have fun!

Just got back a few days ago with our 6month old. We took him on Toy Story Mania, POTC and small world. We would have taken him on more but he slept the rest of the time. We rode the other fantasyland attractions and saw many parents and infants. I guess the bottom line is...each kid is different and if yours can handle darkrides and noise then you can probably ride what ever you want.

Thanks for all the great info!! I am getting really excited for our trip and look forward to introducing my dd to the world of Disney. My husband and I usually go to Disneyland about 3 times a year so bringing our daughter this time will be a whole new experience!!

My son was 9 months old the first time we went to DL. I wore him in an Ergo baby carrier most of the time (even able to discreetly nurse him in it ) and also had a stroller. I wore him on a lot of the rides, including the teacups. He loved the ferris wheel at DCA.

Enjoy! :)

You'll have a great time! My wife and I were always huge DL fans from the beginning of our relationship. When we finally added our 6 month old DD to the mix for her first trip, it was a whole new experience! And it just gets better as they get older. People think we're crazy that our DD is only 3.5 and has already been to DL 5 or 6 times! I've lost count myself. I would recommend not going when they're around 14 months though. That was a difficult trip for us, because walking is such a new excitement for them and they just want to explore everywhere and don't want to be kept in a stroller.
