Going for the first time with kids, 3 and 10.....normally DH and I dont carry anything much in our bag....just sweatshirts (we go in the cooler time) and water....we are now going with 2 nieces in Oct....is this list a good one, too much or too little? I have a Dis backback and we can store stuff in a locker.

1. Change of clothes, incase they get wet or have an accident

2. Snacks and water

3. Sanitary gel and wet wipes

4. Children's Motrin, Tylenol, Benadril etc....

5. Bandaids and gel antibiotic cleaner

6. They will have ID info on them, thanks to the suggestion of the board.

7. Sunscreen

anything else that you have found helpful??

You could probably leave the drugs back at the hotel unless one of them is sick. You could also probably skip the full change of clothes for the 10 year old, but maybe a sweatshirt if it gets cold. Those 87 cent ponchos at Walmart are good to carry, too.

My husband (a.k.a. Sherpa Daddy) and I wanted to tell you that ounces quickly accummulate into pounds. We'd ditch everything but the sunscreen. Maybe some water. Sherpa daddy usually carries a camelback for us. Maybe something if the 3 year old isn't fully potty trained. other than that, live free...take risks...you're on vacation!!! :moped:

May I suggest:

1) sunscreen
2) wipes
3) juice box/h2o
4) small snacks
5) poncho
6) light jacket/sweater/sweatshirt
7) small toy (to amuse in longer lines)
8) bandaids
:confused3
