Going "watch-less"?

I'm seriously thinking of not wearing a watch to the parks for the first time ever. I will have my phone on me, of course, but don't want to be fishing it out of my bag every five minutes to check the time.

I'm thinking that there are enough clocks around - outside FP attractions, etc. - that I can manage without a watch. (Mostly concerned about making sure I don't miss FPs/ADRs). Anyone want to encourage/discourage me?

Only you know how often you check your watch so that will answer your question. I'm at Disney now without a watch and it is driving me nuts! There don't seem to be clocks right where I need them when I want them.

For me, while standing in lines where there are no clocks, I keep asking my husband what time it is. His usual answer is that it's five minutes after the last time I asked. And he's usually right! LOL His second favorite answer is that it's time for me to get a watch. I also have my phone, but it's too much trouble for me to dig it out. Watches are so much easier for me. Haha.

The only time I wear a watch is to WDW and Universal. They are the only places I go that dont have clocks handy everywhere.

I hate haveing to dig my phone out to see the time. I got a cute large face Minnie Mouse watch for 14 bucks at WalMart and I always wear it at Disney.

I bought a Minne accessory watch for my magic band. It slides right on. Perfect for what I needed!

I did the same thing, and my husband has a grey digital watch that just slides right on his magic band. We bought them in the gift shop next to the sliders. They are usually hidden, or sold out! We love having them. We no longer do restaurants unless the kids absolutely have a favorite for that trip, so we are only tied to fastpasses. It is so nice to just look at my watch and not pull out a phone. It reminds me of the good ole' days.

You could go without a watch if you have no scheduled FP+ and no ADR's. If you have either, then a watch is a must.

I suspect I'll stick with the watch, for reasons discussed here. Thanks to PPs, I will look for the slider watches when I'm there. My problem is, I'm just not comfortable with anything on my right wrist, so the MB and watch always both go on my left. I'll need the watch for airplane travel day, so I'll have it with me anyway.

What's a watch?

I think you'll manage fine.
For sure.

We do both FP and ADR watch free, never miss a thing so if can be done
I haven't owned a watch since smart phones became common
And I'm in my 50s so it's not like that's all I've known

I do not like grabbing my phone out of my purse, pocket, off the table, etc. just to check what time it is. I gather my husband doesn't either because we tend to play "what time is it chicken" with each other. As in we both have similar access to the phone but no desire to reach for it.

Now we have apple watches and it's a lot more convenient. It has the added bonus of timers and reminders for things like FPs, ADRs, and showtimes.

I'm pro watch, traditional or techie.

I can't remember the last time I wore a watch. Like you said, there's clocks all around and you'll have your phone which I don't think is a burden to check when you need to know the time right then. You could also set alarms on your phone if you don't want to look but don't want to be late.

I am so DISney tour grouped and or single rider with a full upwards to 15 hour day planned and need quick access to "what time is it?"
Hence the reason I still wear a watch.

Plus, should I ride a roller coaster, (& I have been very prone to do), watches don't or won't break like digital cameras, Ipods, Iphones, etc when you go on the attraction.

I've never had my camera or iPhone break on an attraction, could you elaborate on how yours got broken?
