After 5 years of promising my little sister of going to Disney world i finally had the money to take her and my family and we are headed there in March! I'm super excited and can't wait to go, however my little sister doesn't know and i'm going to tell her on Christmas, i just don't know how.
I bought her a princess backpack filled with princess dolls and Disney toys, i want to put the plane tickets and plans in there but i still don't know how to tell her, any ideas?

When I surprised my niece & nephew with our family trip a few years ago I put each of the 7 park tickets in identical small boxes each with a family member's name on top.

They went into a larger box along with a Birnbaum WDW guide book, two envelopes with Disney $ for the kids to use as spending money and a note from Santa letting them know exactly when we were going.

They got the excitement of opening the box, but also got to hand out the smaller boxes to the rest of the family making them presenters as well as receivers of the gift.

To ensure the surprise didn't get mixed in with all the other business of Christmas morning gift giving, the box was hidden in the basement.

About an hour after all the gift giving had ended, and the mess in the living room had been cleaned up, I retrieved the box from its hiding spot and placed it under the tree at the back.

We called upstairs to the kids saying that they seemed to have overlooked a gift from Santa.

They came running down and were rather amazed that they hadn't seen the large box earlier, but being 8 & 5 at the time, they had no reason to doubt that it had been there the entire time.

That is adorable

Wow that's really cute :D I like that idea, what did they say when they found out they were going?

When we surprised our boys in February I did a treasure hunt for them. They couldn't read at the time so I did pictures of various items around the house (laundry basket, vacuum etc) so they went to where those items are to find the next picture.
I ended it with a photo of my shoes (in my closet) and when they opened the door they found their Buzz suitcases, stuffed Mickeys and t-shirts that said 'Im going to DisneyWorld today'.

My darling hubby has surprised me tonight with a trip in February (gotta escape the snow!) so now I need :scratchin:scratchin:scratchinto think of a new way to surprise the boys!! :scratchin
