The wife and I are making a trip for a week and we are bringing our 4 month old.

We are new first time parents and we are getting a bit nervous.

We have never been the park conquering types. We enjoy taking it easy and enjoying being at WDW. We will be staying @ BCV.

I would be more then happy to listen to any advice anyone has regarding tips on having a infant at the WDW.

Thanks

We went with DS at 9 months old. It was no problem & a lot of fun.

If you are planning a trip during the summer, I would reconsider the timing because of the heat. Otherwise, go & have fun!

Use the babycare centers whenever you need/want to. They are great for parents & kids.

Take it slow. Just enjoy being there with your wife & child. Dont try & "see everything!"

Your child can go on every ride that does not have a heigh requirmerent. We took DS on everything from the HM to Buzz to Spaceship Earth.

Use a stroller & a sling to transport baby. Slings are great for waiting in line, nursing, and general snuggeling of child.

Enjoy WDW!

We did it. I have great pictures but my DD was sleeping in every one of them! She was 3 or 4 months old. I was nursing and found the nursing facilities wonderful--a quiet place to escape. We just put her in the stroller (rented) and let her sleep as we took it easy around the world. It was not our first time there, so we didn't feel compelled to DO EVERYTHING.

Obviously you just have to pack for a baby or stop at a store and stock up when you get there.

Enjoy!

We took DD at 2 weeks. She slept alot. DH and I took our time and had a wonderful time. DD either rode in her front pack or in her stroller. DH ate many a meal with her in the front pack as it was easiest. Take advantage of the Baby Care Centers as they are wonderful, well with th exception of MGMs. Just pack plenty of supplies for the trip as diapers and formula are pricy at the resort and they might not carry your size/brand.

Just take your time and have fun. Your little one can go on most rides.

That age is soooo easy! Try to repeat your routine at home as far as stroller, blankies, feeding routines and such go. If you see that your child is getting over stimulated, duck out to a child care center for some quiet time, or go back to your hotel. Don't push yourself - Mom! You need some rest too! :earsgirl: Otherwise, relax, take advantage of kidswap and have a great time!!!!!!!! :flower:

We went to Disney Land with our 3 month old I agree with the other advice. You will have a great time building new memories with your little one. Be sure to get some good pictures with the characters. We took our 2 yr old daughter to a character lunch and have lots of pictures of the characters rubbing our 3 month old son's cheek, holding his hand, etc. He was sleeping through most of it, but the pictures are cute! Baby Changing Stations are a lifesaver! Don't forget all the usual diaper bag stuff of course. Have fun!
