I've been to WDW many times, so I will basically be my friend's "tour guide" for our trip in March. I think I have everything under control, but does anyone have any "must see" suggestions? One couple is kind of iffy on the whole Disney thing so I have to show them a good time!

TIA!

We've done this twice. Just a word of warning.. some people just don't get it. They might not love it as much as you. I let this bug me and kept trying to get them to "get it". Just didn't happen (and I probably became annoying). You might want to find out what pace they like and schedule some pool time if they like to relax.

The things that our friends thought were awesome were Fantasmic and Spectromagic parade.

Find out the tastes of the newbies and try to cater to those. For instance, if they like thrill rides, be sure they hit all the E-ticket stuff. While we Dis-ers love just about everything at WDW, there are some things they do that sets a standard that no place else can match. Things that come to mind are the classic attractions like POTC and HM, along with the newer things such as TOT and RnRC. The nightime fireworks shows are a must(unless your group just doesn't like that type of thing). I would also strive for a blend of activities such as dining, shopping, perhaps water parks, don't forget golf, spa treatments, etc.. Even if they end up not "getting it", at least they won't complain that "...all they had was the same old....(fill in the blank).
Have fun with this, and please report back how it goes. :earsboy:

THanks for the suggestions! I definitely have a mix of everything planned in. I'm not sure about the waterparks yet, b/c we're going the 1st week of March and we won't really know about the weather until a few days before. I also made note of the schedule for the parades. We'll also be spending some nights at PI, CityWalk and also I heard JellyRolls at the Boardwalk in fun. We're a young crowd, so nightlife is important! I planned a day at Islands of Adventure also, just to "break" the Disney theme in case it's driving them crazy... they we're all thrill riders:-) And shopping, well that's always scheduled in, I have an addiction, especially in DTD!

THanks again, and I can't wait to report back to you:-)

Have you suggested that they read some guide books ahead of time to get an idea of all the possibilities WDW has to offer? That way you can share some of your favorites and they can suggest some of the stuff they think they may enjoy. Remember this is your trip also. It is easy to get caught up in making sure others have a good time and you forget to have fun!

We are going with my mom and stepdad in December and are going to use the Magical Gatherings software download. I've heard it isn't all that great, but it will at least get us all on the same wavelength as far as what we will be doing there, etc.

AND we'll get to see what THEY think they want to see. It is a starting point, anyway.....

Just an FYI

I have been trying to get the planner to work for two years....I have always gotten a problem with it. This year it has errors, when ever I try to do the "my favorates" and " group favorites" and My DDIL cant get it to download and let her on at all...I have called and complaned, but I just get a canned response..No help there...I just gave up....
It would have been nice IF it worked
