Hello my 2 daughters (17 & 15) and I are planning on going to WDW the end of September. My daughters have never been and I was there in 1988 they will just building MGM.
We are going to stay at the Shades of Green (Military Hotel) on the grounds.
My question is how are the lines for the 4 theme parks, Sea World? and what will the weather be the end of September. The girls do not want to do water parks (thank god).
Also we are flighing in and I was wondering about the bus service is from airport to the grounds?
Thank you

Take advantage of Fast Pass. I was blown away with it our first trip after that was installed. We haven't waited more than 30 minutes for a ride since then (and we do every ride and travel even in peak seasons).

My husband and I had gone in Sept of 2000 for our honeymoon, and we really didn't have to worry about any lines. Maybe a few mintes, but nothing like during the summer (lines for Splash Mtn pop into my head)

September is one of my favorite times to go. No lines! :) It is hot and humid and you can expect a little rain shower pretty much every day, but the rain feels good and cools things down for a little bit. Since there's no lines, the heat doesn't bother me much, you pretty much can just go from one thing to another w/out standing in the hot sun. The parks close earlier, but again...you're not wasting a lot of time on lines, so you can do everything you want to and still have plenty of time before closing. :)

In May Disney is starting the new "free" shuttle from the airport to their resorts (I'm assuming they would do it for SOG also, but you should check on that). So I would keep checking the boards after the free shuttle starts and see how that's working. If you're planning on doing things other than Disney I recommend renting a car.

I'm guessing your girls will change their minds about the water parks bc of the heat - it's HOT in September! ;) If you're staying at SoG, be sure to get your Disney tickets from there, or from your local MWR office, as it's a decent savings.

I'm also assuming that you already know about the Hero Salute.

As for bus service, do you mean their local transit buses? Disney buses don't run to the Orlando airport, except the Magic Your Way, which isn't available to those of us fortunate enough to stay at SoG.

I hope that helps - if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
