going to Walgreens from hotel

We will be checking in about 8 pm to the RPR. Can we go on the boat over to the Portofino and then walk across the street to Walgreens to get some waters, a disposable ice chest and maybe some snacks? Is that easy enough to do? Also, where could we pick up a quick bite to eat along the way? How far would it be to walk to Universal Walk to the fast food places? It is hard to picture the resort when I haven't been there before.

Miller ale house is right next to walgreens.

Burger King is right behind walgreens.

15 minutes boat to citiwalk (includes waiting for boat)
15 minutes boat to PBH (includes waiting for boat)
10 minute walk to walgreens

I think the bus might be a better choice if you are just going to walgreens....the stops at RPR and then PBH.this way you know the exact time it's coming.the bus drops you off at the closest point in PBH to walgreens..

I didn't know there was a bus. Is this a bus to take hotel guests to the parks or a different kind of bus? Please let me know the details and where they pick up the people and if you have to pay for it. How often do they run?

the lowes shuttle bus goes between the 3 hotels and park.

I believe it's route goes from portofino to hardrock to citiwalk to royal pacific to portofino to........I think it's every hour....maybe more frequently.

sometimes the buses ac is more comfortable (if it's really hot) than waiting/taking the boats

you can catch the Loews hotels shuttle bus at the end of the walkway of hrh leading to the park.

at the end of the walkway, the bus stop is to the right.
to the left leads to the entrance to the studios.

When I was staying at the Hard Rock and needed something that they didn't have in the gift shop, I got a cab in front of the hotel and asked them to take me to the nearest drugstore. The cab driver waited while I went in and got what I needed, then took me back to the hotel. I don't remember what it cost. I do remember that it was a Walgreens.

I didn't have a car, and a long walk or bus/boat ride wouldn't have worked for me.

I noticed there is another Walgreens South of RPR at the corner of Universal Blvd and International Dr. Can you walk to Universal Blvd to get there? Or is that not a safe walking route?

You could walk there but it's a hike. Universal Blvd is pretty busy but if you're careful, you shouldn't have any problems.
