Going to the World next week and remembered

the Autograph swap we did last year. I'm hoping to use the last autograph mats from that one next week at AK (Pocahontas and Lilo). That got me thinking (obviously) how cool it was to use them with the characters, who loved having such interesting things to sign -- with their pictures on them, etc. Anyhoo . . . . I know there's a character swap on now and I'm not really talking about that. I wondered if anyone had given any thought to doing another autograph swap (though not as big as last time -- those were like 6 elements each) -- just something to make an autograph book from, like a photo mat, an autograph mat and a topper or something. IDK, I just wondered about it. Thought I'd throw it out there and see if it stuck?!?:confused3

No hard feelings if noone is interested or thinks it would work. I just like having those autograph things better than plain pages and don't like to premake books (my problem, wish I was). I just thought with the simplicity it would be a good newbie swap? (Re-reading that, it sounds so pitiful -- sorry. I probably will make my own elements if we don't, since it really is easy).

For now, just counting down the days :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I would be interested in this kina of swap. I am like you I like the characters to have something "special" to sign. They seem so thrilled to see the extra work put into having a place for them to sign. Plus a little extra attention for the kids or the kids in us.

I like to have a paper piecing of the character on a two page autograph book spread. So maybe that could be one of the elements. Or you could do like a specific character and then have from 4 to 6 elements (ie... title, photo mat, autograph mat, paper piecing, etc.) and then you sign up for what element for that particular character and everyone gets several items for the character. This way you can sign up for more characters to complete you autograph book. Just an idea.

i think it sounds like a great idea - the paper piecing idea is cool too but i cant do them so maybe some groups could be paper piecing and others maybe have the option but not compulsory? x

I don't know if this will help you but there are going to be 6x6 page groups in the character completed page swap. Each slot will be two 6x6 pages for each character with a photo mat and decorative element on one page and a topper and journaling element/signature box on the other.

It might be more work than you are looking for but it starts on Feb. 6 and is due on March 31 if you are interested.

This is how I orginally wanted to do the character swap. Each character has it's own group. Each Character has 6 elements. I thought this was a great idea :)

All very good ideas.

The only issue I have for myself -- though I am sure there are workarounds -- is that the 6x6 would require me carrying around a completed page so I could get the autographs. I suppose I could remove the mat from the page and then readhere. I really like the idea of the smaller autograph book, which I think is what the 6x6 is about. The issue for the groups of 6 is that you really do need a 12x12 to use all of that -- well, I guess a two page spread in a 6x6 would work. Of course, that's what we got in the last autograph swap and it was just one person doing all 6. This is MUCH easier.

I'm happy whatever. Of course, I didn't do the character swap so I'm only mildly happy. :confused3 :goodvibes ;) If there is an interest in a full-fledged swap for autograph suff, I'm certainly open, though.
