Going to Stone Mountain and Lookout Mountain...help!

So we are planning a vacation to Stone Mountain and Lookout Mountain the day after Christmas for a few days. It has been about 8 years since our last visit. We will be driving. Anybody have any suggestions of where to stay in a budget friendly yet safe and clean hotel? Has anyone been during this time of year?

For Lookout Mountain I would stay in Downtown Chattanooga at Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn, or Courtyard by Marriott. Those is close to walking distance to restaurants. They might have buffet at Christmas time to eat at. Most everything is close on Christmas Day period. After Christmas they would have limited hours.

Thanks! I was also looking at The Inn at Christmas Place. Anyone have any experience with this hotel? I thought it would be cool to stay there since we will be there the day after Christmas!

The Inn at Christmas Place is in Gatlinburg...right? That's quite a drive from Lookout Mtn, TN and Stone Mountain, GA.

My friend has stayed at the one in Gatlinburg and said it was wonderful, but again....quite a drive.
