The day we are at Epcot, next Friday, we have a FP for Frozen for the window 10am-11am. What is the best strategy for getting to Soarin and riding that standby right when the park opens, which is 9am? I heard the lines are just so long! Thanks!

That is where you enter the park. You tap your Magic Band to the "Mickey reader" and then tap your finger next to it.

Sorry, what is Mickey Readers?

The place where you scan your magic band or ticket to enter the park. The above poster is saying be to the park early so you can be through the security line and bag check and in line for entrance to the park by 815. Then stay to the right as you go past Spaceship Earth aka "the ball" and follow the crowd to the right. The line pictures posted from this morning showed a mass mob as you go under the building (?) Inoventions East (where the character meet and greet is) and then the mob flowed into the Land Pavillion to the right and down the escalator. The wait times from this morning were long but by 10am they posted wait times were about 60 min. If you can get there early and be close to the front of the Rope Drop mob your wait times may be about 30-40 min judging from this mornings postings. Best of luck!

Our strategy will be 8am breakfast reservation at Garden grill and start towards Soarin at 8:45. No huffing and puffing and no wait!

I was so lucky to get a Soarin FP on the opening morning! It was fantastic. And by the way, it has a different ending than the Shanghai version, in case you saw that on YouTube already. I won't spoil the surprise!

Quick side question on the escalator to get to Soarin' - Is there another way to get to Soarin'? My daughter has Asperger's and will not ride an escalator no matter what. We have been there before, but I don't recall having to take the escalator but keep hearing everyone talking about the line flowing down the escalator at Rope Drop. We have not done rope drop, but plan on doing Rope drop to Soarin' on upcoming trip.

Yes there are also regular stairs.

Does anyone know if you can park scooters outside on the ramp up to The Land? My mom will have a scotter since she can not walk for hours a day but can walk some. Was thinking of parking the scotter outside by the strollers and her walking to Soarin. It is so crowded down by Soarin.

thanks

We are trying to get to Soarin' right at rope drop for Saturday... crowds are not expected to be too high... My question is, how early do we need to be on the bus from Pop Century? I've never stayed there.

You CAN park the scooter outside, but for Soarin', I would definitely take the scooter in. That line is SO long, w/ or w/o FP+, the walk is exhausting. I did more walking through lines this trip than I have for the past several trips, but no way would I attempt to walk the Soarin' line.
