we are taking the kids to see Thomas tomorrow. Other than droves of kids, what should we expect? I assume thomas is there...will any other trains be there? Anything else to see/do?

My Dad was a volunteer when it was here in Cleveland.

They had a tatoo station with several of the other characters as tatoos. They have Thomas, but I do not think that there are others in life size. There was also a model train display and they can ring a bell. (He worked that station one day, he could not hear well before that, and it was even worse at the end of it!! :rotfl2: ) I know there were more things, but those were the stations that he worked.

There were tons of kids, but everyone had a great time, and really no complaints. Go and have a great time!

We went years ago, it wasn't a good day, it rained non-stop. Only Thomas was there. Your ticket entitles you to go for a short train ride within a certain timeframe. Another engine is the one that does the actual pulling with Thomas attached to the other end of the cars. Does that make sense? :teeth: The kids did have their picture taken in front of Thomas. There were pony rides included in the price, there was merchandise for sale and I really can't remember anything else. Like I said, the weather was awful.

The little ones will love it! Enjoy your day! :thumbsup2 :sunny:

Bring a wad of money because you're gonna need it for souviners!

It was a lot of fun when we went in PA 2 years ago. There were different "stations" and things like mini train rides and other train type games in a tent.

Have a great time!

We took our kids about four years ago. There was a tattoo tent, model trains, a tent where they were playing movies, a fire truck and some play areas. We took a long train ride. The kids had a great time.

We are going on Monday! :thumbsup2 This will be our third visit, and we have enjoyed each time. The highlight is the ride on Thomas. He is the only train from Sodor there. If you visit Strasburg you can ride a miniture steamie for no extra cost. The other large steam train rides do cost extra money. There are 4 or 5 tents with things to do. Thomas storytime, Thomas tattoo's, and Thomas train tables are some of the activities. It is a little boy wonderland. You will never see so many preschool boys in one place in your life! And they are all decked out in Thomas gear! Quite the event!

We're going next weekend :thumbsup2 It will be our 3rd time.

It is a lot of fun. There are various tents set up. In the past they've housed lots of train tables, motorized train displays, a hay bale maze, story time, and of course, Thomas merchandise. There are usually also food vendors.

You can get your picture taken w/ Thomas, but the prints are outrageously priced and the people working are in a hurry to get you moving along so taking your own pics can be hard.

You can also meet Sir Topham Hat and get pictures with him.
