I am tagging along with my husband while he has a business trip at WDW in January. So I will be alone most of the time at the parks. What attractions besides Fast track have single riders? Do I need to get FP for a single person mid Jan? I will do Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom probably with the day we go together to Epcot. Thanks!

AS posted above, only those rides have Single Rider lines (and I'd watch out on RnRC as that Single Rider line can be slow). I would definitely get Fast Passes for your top priority rides.

For Flight of Passage, although they don't operate single rider from the beginning of the queue, when they ask for your party count, they will send you (as a solo) up the empty single rider line. That's been the case the 5 or so times I rode solo. It's awesome when riding solo combined with FP, basically a walk on then.

I've gone in late January and practically walked on to a lot of things, but that was before magic bands and FP+. I'd pick the passes for must haves but in the early parts of the day most of the waits shouldn't be too atrocious.

Solo trips can be great! It means you can really pick what you want to do without having to take into consideration other people. You want to ride Everest single rider 10 times in a row, go for it! You want to just sit on the Liberty Belle riverboat and relax on a ride around Tom Sawyer Island-sure! You want to skip lunch and instead binge on desserts all day-no one's stopping you! I usually make sure I have a book loaded into my kindle iphone app and sometimes just relax for a bit.

Book Fastpasses as if you were not going single rider. All other rides except for the ones listed previously, you will have to wait in the regular line. You can sometimes skip a couple groups ahead (ie fill up one empty row if the groups in front of you are 3+ people needing 2+ rows).

The good thing about going solo is that you can stop and actually enjoy the details of the places. It doesn't have to be all about the rides. I love riding the Liberty Bell at MK, no FPs needed and it has loads of details to see as you slowly ride along, bonus if you ride it at night. I tend to spend my solo trips just enjoying the place instead of riding rides, I do ride rides but rarely book FPs in advance since I never know what I'm in the mood for. It also is no big deal for me to stand in line if I'm solo, I read on my phone or strike up conversations with people in line or, again, just look at the details you often miss. My time going solo is for watching shows, my son hates them so I get to enjoy them without him.

Not the same but on our next trip I am going to DHS by myself. The rest of my crew will be sleeping in that day and meet up with me for lunch, TSSM and Fantasmic. They don't ride RnRc and ToT so I will get there at RD and ride them until I puke.

Thanks! Have not been in 10 years so this will be fun! And going back with grown daughter in September for all the fun again! That one is more planning for fast passes and dinners. This is kind of a last minute tag along. We will do Epcot together that Friday before we fly home. He is there every year and never goes to the parks! Just dealer meetings, dull.

Another fun thing about being by yourself is trying to pick up FPs at the last minute. If you keep checking, things can pop up for even the most popular attractions with return times in the next hour or less.

This is so true! I went solo in September, and on the mid-week days, I was able to get additional FP+ for pretty much anything (didn't try at AK) all day long.

I stayed in AK while my family went back to the resort this past July - and I landed an FoP FP!
